My name means “God has given”. A Hebrew origin and derivative of Nathaniel. It’s like the number 13. A bright color like yellow and sunshine. Happy and joyful songs like my sister listen to when she is in the shower like Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, and Maroon 5.

My real name is Nathan but everyone has called me Nate my whole life. So sometimes I even forget my true real name is Nathan. which is fine because I don’t like the name, Nathan.

it's just too long for me and feels like a worse version of me. I always go by Nate and everyone calls me that so when someone calls me by Nathan it’s like another identity and makes me feel like a totally different person than who I am. It makes me feel like I have a different personality because it’s a whole different name making it seem like I am bad because I only get called by Nathan when my parents are mad at me.

It is also cool to just have a nickname you go by. Everyone always wants something nice and short for their actual name and so mine is Nate. Smooth, short, and sweet like rolls off the tongue easily and not like Nathan which is two syllables.

My parents named me as one of the 12 apostles from the bible, since we are religious and go to church every Sunday. My name represents faith and being there for others like how in the bible Jesus is there for people in need and someone you always put your faith into. Like how Jesus is the light and sunshine and represents the way of life thats how Nate feels like a bright light from the sky and a bright yellow sun shining making everyone happy.
