Hurricanes Demolish Texas and Florida
Hurricane Irma hit Florida on September 10th, just a few days ago. Irma was expected to take a path along the East to West coast of Florida, but it will be hovering for quite some time. When citizens first found out about Irma, everyone was frantic. “The storm is like nothing the state has ever seen”, says a citizen from Miami. Irma ended up being downgraded to a tropical storm on Monday, after it barreled into Florida on Sunday. Irma then went up into Georgia, where it made itself at home. Irma ended up leaving more than forty percent of Florida’s population without power. Some could be out of power for days, maybe weeks. Irma isn’t the only problem either. In the Atlantic Ocean, there is a category four hurricane known as Jose. Jose looks like it is going to veer up into the north Atlantic, not hitting anything, which is what everyone wants to happen after the United States has been devastated by two hurricanes. We can only imagine what a third one will do. There is a chance that it could hit New York, and if that does happen, America will have lost millions upon millions from these monster storms.
