Staff VS. Student
Does your school let you get on your phones in class? I think a lot of schools have this policy. Before I tried perspective taking, I couldn't see the other person's side of the argument. I will be writing about the cell phone policy in my school. The moral to this story is look on both sides of the argument.
The disagreement is the cell phone policy at my high school. This happens at my high school in Oklahoma, during school hours. You get most in trouble when its in class. The people involved in this disagreement is the staff and the students. The staff will give us detention if we have them out.
My perspective on this is we should be able to have our phones out in class. In most cases our phone's internet is faster than the computers internet. Also they are small so we would have more room on our desk. Lastly, we can communicate with our family with issues or reminders. I think phones would help improve our learning.
The school's staff perspective on this is we are not aloud to have our phones out in class. The staff thinks we would not be focused. Also, that we would be cheating. Lastly, that our phones are a distraction. They think our phones would interfere with our learning.
I have gained knowledge by looking at the staffs perspective. I have learned that having our phones out in class would have some negative outcomes. I do understand the staffs opinion on this situation. If we all have greater empathy for this situation we would not have has much conflict in our school.
