Avoid Being Judgmental and Avoid Prejudice
I truly believe that almost a lot of people has been victim of prejudice or have done it before to someone.
In the generation we live its most common to criticize someone without even knowing them, “just by the way they look”, If they're attractive or not, or even the way they talk, act or the way they dress, the type of music they listen to, etc. ; sometimes also even because of their religion, race, culture or something else. I always think that judging people by their outside is like a judge and jury accusing you of something with no proofs or without even listening to your argument…
Probably nobody wants to believe or admit that we really do criticize and that we are capable of being judgmental to some people by their looks.
I can say it myself, because I was once around people who couldn't admit they judged people by their appearance and also I was once a victim of it (and probably I'm still one).
I was being judged and bullied by people in the past. They usually judged me for the way I acted, the way I was and for my appearance, for things that I can't possibly change. The only thing that changed is the way I think, I learned how to stop caring about the things they said and asked for help.
But my question is. Do you think Is really fair to judge or laugh at someone's integrity, looks, personality, or emotions? Just because people think they can, just because people think they have the right, just because people are too lazy to take another look or chance to get to know somebody.
Well of course it's most unfair and mistaken to judge based on appearance or superfluous things like beauty, name, race, etc.
No one enjoys being a victim of prejudice but still almost a lot of people do it anyways, because some people are just cold and selfish…
It's sad that in these days and age people still have to deal with judgmental stuff and prejudice.
I know you've probably heard this before but I really believe that it comes from their own insecurity!
People who judge or makes fun of other people's appearance either doubt their owns, or think the only good thing about themselves is their appearance, so they try to compensate it by making physical appearance a big deal when it's really not.
But if you are a victim of prejudice you would probably find that the person who is labelling you is probably just desperate for acknowledgment.
