What Now?
It’s May 31, 2015 and I need to submit a narrative story into a contest or website. The problem is, I have no story and I’m just sitting here, looking at a blank screen in Microsoft Word. The story needs to be submitted by tomorrow here I am with no story. I had the idea of writing about human extinction; two paragraphs in but decided to not continue it because there was no interest. No story ideas, this final is due tomorrow, and its almost hitting midnight; what now?
I now was just thinking to make up a random story and just BS it, but then again, it just wouldn’t feel right. I would’ve also gone through the trouble of my teacher seeing the narrative story since she wanted a hard copy of it and that wouldn’t have been a good thing. After she’ll had finish reading it, she probably ask herself what type of dope was I doing during the time period I was writing, since a story that jumped around with no conflict wouldn’t make any sense at all.
Just a blank face with a blank mind, it’s one of those occasions when the wall right in front of you looks pretty interesting. I’m getting off track; everything around me looks more entertaining. I check my phone and see my friend telling me he almost died in the highway; not really, he just hit a pole… that idiot. I’m tired and sleepy. Everyone in my house is asleep; I want to lay in bed and sleep but this final is keeping me awake. I’m starting to loose hope on coming up with a story that has a decent conflict. I guess I’ll just start writing about my struggle coming up with a narrative story.
