Parents should pay less for schools books. With all the technology in the schools the past few years students have been using online books. Students are allowed to ask for a hardback book but most students don’t. Parents are paying close to $200.00 for school books the most the kids aren’t going to use. thats $200.00 washed down the drain that could have been put to bills for the parents.
    Books are heavy. Why would a student want to haul them around with them? That is another reason that students prefer the online books. Online books are nice but they do come with there problems. Most kids don’t have internet at home. So a text book would be in need. But this is 1 out of every two kids. So why are parents having to pay so much.
   
    Imagine that you are sitting at home working on homework. You get done with math and then realize that you still have social studies. You look at the time. What time would it be for you? Kids should have less homework in school. I asked 4 students how much homework they get at night. All together they had 7 hours and 30 minutes of homework each night! Thats almost 2 hours a night per student! How are kids supposed to get their nights sleep if they're up all night working on homework.

    Kids have sports they need to go to. Practice’s and games are usually right after school, they normally don’t end till 7:00. I asked 3 students what time they’re sports ended and most of them said around 7:00, 7:30. Teenagers are supposed to get eight hours of sleep per night. With family plans and other things in there day to do the time just passes by. Homework gets pushed to the side for family events. So when kids get back they have to do homework. Kids don’t get off school till 3:00 in the afternoon. Thats 8 hours in the school day and then another 3 hours after school, why do students have to get a total of 11 hours of school? Don’t they ever get a break in the school year!
