Runaway Train
When I heard the words “Runaway train” by Kelly M., I thought it was about an actual runaway train, but really it's about two troubled teens in their past near a old train station, that ran from “Northville, Kansas, directly to Springfield, Missouri,” and one of the teens ran off named Jacob. One night he returned and puts a “pack bag with a note on it in his driveway” and told Sarah, the other teen, that he was leaving. I found the short story very well done because the title drags you in and gets you wondering what's going happen next. Overall, I give it a 4.5 out of 5 for its creativity.
