I wholeheartedly agree with Wilson Sherman and found the article "The Modern Zoo: Saving Species from Extinction" extremly moving. Wilson writes about his thoughts and feelings on the zoo. Some people see the zoo as a place to hold animals for the entertaiment of children and adults. Wilson sees the zoo as a place to see animals that are endangered and as a place to remind adults and teach children to take care of the Earth. The Earth is not only a home for people it is also a place where extraordinary animals live. Humans only think about themselves and do not do things to help the animals live with us so future generations can see animals in the future. So, although some see zoos as an animal prison, Wilson and I see zoos as a place to help the animals grow their population and teach people to see the animals as a part of this world.
