Working At An Animal Shelter MAG

By Anonymous

Having lived with cats in our home throughout my life, it seemed quite fitting for me to perform community service at the local animal shelter. Some of the duties I share include walking the dogs, cleaning kennels, grooming, feeding, playing and socializing with the various cats and dogs. Each week I look forward to meeting the new arrivals and to find out who's been adopted. Our shelter has been very successful in finding homes for all of our furry friends. It's especially interesting to see that animals, like people, have their own personalities too. We try to assign names to new arrivals that best fit their particular identity.

Everyone associated with the shelter is a volunteer. They include people of all ages and professions. I truly consider it a privilege, and a great pleasure, to be part of such a kind and cheerful group. I would recommend it to anyone who shares my love for animals and I personally feel that I receive much more than I'm able to give. fl
