August 2022 Fiction Contest: The Portal

Have you ever wondered where the missing planes and boats disappear to when they cross the Bermuda Triangle? Me too but I guess I was about to find out. I was standing in front of the cruise ship when I saw it. A whirl pool. In disbelief I closed my eyes in hopes when I opened them again I would see that my eyes were simply playing games on me. But when I opened them it was suddenly gloomy and when looking around I knew I was in a whole knew world, one with things I've only read about in books.
