Don't cross oceans for people who wouldn't jump puddles for you.

I stood in front of Pod 66 and stared at the outer casing. It looked exactly like mine and the olny difference was the faded numbers on the top of the shell. Using all my stregnth I pulled on the handle. It didnt move. Then I pulled harder and I felt the years of ice tearing off the inside as the door began to open. Suddently I heard the hiss of air as the chamber fully opened and the person on the inside fell out and onto my shoulder. It was a girl and she appeared to be the same age as me olny with longer brown hair and less height. She had bright blue eyes and despite the cold, soft hands. There was still ice on some parts of her clothes and I helped her wipe them off. Then I helped her stand and we looked around. We were still surrounded by pods and it occured to me each of them could contain another person, another survivor. I yanked on the door of pod 67 and a person did fall out but he was dead. Same with the next two pods. Then three after that. All dead, It occured to me that we had been chosen for a reason and that reason still had to be solved. What
I did realise though was the color of the ice we were encased in. It was blue while the other ice was white. Then I saw a bottle on a lab desk that was labeled Baxterium. It was blue or at least the crust on the inside was. Then I opened a cabinet and found more bottles but this stuff was Monterium included on this bottle was a label that said "Do not use for preservation more than fifty years" The Baxiterium label said nothing. It looked like whoever had worked here olny had one bottle of Baxterium left and he had used it on us.

This is a part of a popular series of short stories I came up with off the top of my head
