The Lonely Man

The lonely man..
was in an affair.
With the moon.
With the stars.
And the idea of a woman he would never find. Would the moon or the stars be so kind enough as to help him? Guide him? No.
She belonged with the sun, with the days.
He belonged with the moon, with the nights. And the stars if you counted them. (if you had the time to count all of them)
Hours are long between day and night.
He would never reach her.
