Tommy lay in his stroller tugging at his toes with a mouthfull of drool. His sock fires out like the first pitch. His sock sits like a rug, trampled. It’s swept to the corner, to collect dust and scraps of peanut shells. But Tommy doesn’t care; he stares at his momma and smiles.
