Time and Time Again

We sat crissed-crossed on the playground. Ruby reached across and offered her small pinky, I questioned her actions, but all she did was smile brightly.
We sit legs crossed in her new apartment. She holds up her pinky like she used to do. She smiles again, like the times on the playground.
