I have never been so nervous in my life to have to get up and talk to a crowd. I want this speech to have all the right words to show how much this ceremony means to me.  I also want this speech to show how much my husband has made such a positive impact on my life. I nervously walk up to podium and take a deep breath.
I look into the crowd and see all these amazing people who came out today to make this day special for Mark and I. These people have done so much for us and I couldn’t be more thankful to have them in my life. After thinking about these thoughts, I notice that they are all starting at me waiting for me to make my speech.

So with the awkwardness I began to speak, “We all encounter love, whether either it’s a person, your favorite song, or even a video game. Love is craving over something. It’s wanting to have more right then and now. Finding a person that you can share that love with is the most special kind of love. Gandhi Mahatma once said, where there is love, there is life.  I believe that the love that we have together gives me life in so many ways. When you’re intimate with someone you always want their presence. Another quote that I think explains love well by Torquato Tasso is, love is when he gives you a piece of your soul that you never knew you were missing. Being in their arms, you feel as nothing could go bad. The whole world is paused and it’s just you and him. Mark you make feel so incredibly comfortable and I know that I can be completely myself with you.

At one point you think you’re a complete weirdo for falling this hard for someone, but I could imagine being a weirdo with anyone else. I’m so lucky to have married my best friend and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you Mark. Thank you everyone for being here today to celebrate our wedding. Here’s a toast to a new beginning!”

Slowly I walk down to my next to Mark and give him a kiss. Our family and friends stand up clapping. Whistles and cheerful noises come from the most important people in lives.

Mark puts his arm around my waist and leans me back to kiss me. He whispers in my ear, “I love you so much”.
I can’t help but smile. Nothing about this moment could’ve been more perfect. Today, my wedding day was a memorable moment I can’t wait to look back on.
