We all know the cliche phrase don't judge a book by it is cover but we also know that most of us don't tend to follow that rule. Some of these first impressions might contain some words like "tool" or "try hard" or maybe some more explicit things, but the universe likes to intervene.

For me at least it started with a mutual friend and this mutual friend swore that even though he looks like a total tool that he is actually pretty cool. But of course I didn't believe him and the year went on the strangest thing was happening this kid who I thought that he and I were never gonna get along slowly but surely  started talking more and more until before I knew it this kid named Michael Dunham was my best friend. We helped each other with homework, if we ever needed advice we would go to each other, talk to each other about hot girls we saw and our plans for the week end. He even helped me be a less quite and awkward. nce summer of junior year all we could talk about was hanging out all the time and owning senior year.

Granted we got into a little trouble here and there and of course at the time we tried to act like it was no big deal but I knew that inside we were losing our minds but in the end thats just something we can look back at and laugh about in the future. But once again the universe had to intervene and give a very painful twist to our story, he had found out he was moving all the way to colorado because his dad had found a new job. But like a best friend should even in rough times like those I still helped him, even though it was painful to see his house empty and all their belonging in boxes I helped load up the u haul van because I knew that evenutally we would run out of stuff to pack and I would have to say my last goodbye.
