Misspelled
Graduation day, the best moment of a student’s life. When four years of studying for Linguistics is rewarded by a piece of paper. A small diploma worth $120,000 is placed your hands and a tear slowly makes its way down your face following the path of thousands before it as a result of four years of university. There is a small moment when your face appears on the Jumbo Tron and your family and alumni scream. You remember when you screamed after each final, term paper, and seventh night of ramen noodle dinner. You breathe for the first time after one thousand, four hundred sixty days of crushing anxiety and smile. Fingers shaking you examine the page displaying all of your success. They misspelled your name.
