Tsunami
I am Sean, I am from an orphanage in Oakham, England. I have been adopted by a very rich Japanese businessman. He lives on the eastern coast of Japan. He tells me all of the time before I leave the house, “watch out for the big wave”, and I always respond with, “I know I know”. I always wonder how big the wave actually is.
Three months into living with my new dad I am accustomed to his every day warning once I leave the house, “watch out for the big wave”, and my reply of, “ I know, I know”. One normal Monday rolls by and the weather is horrid. I do not know how but my dad is still asleep.
The wind is so strong that you can hear it outside. I put on some clothes and walk through the front door. I see villagers running towards me and I ask them what is happening. They tell me “the big wave is coming” I run back inside and wake up my father and tell him that the big wave is here. He quickly grabs his phone and gets us out the house we run to highland and he says, “we are now safe” I sit down and catch my breath I can now see the wave for the first time. While i was running I never looked back to see it but it is huge. It has already reached the first houses and has swallowed them up. The wave has ended and passed our house was one of the lucky few that were high enough on land to withstand the wave, but the others have been ruined. Ever since that day I am aware of the big wave.
