January 1st, 2018. It was about eight o’clock in the morning. Knowing that it was gameday and to finally go to my second Michigan game that I have been to at the Raymond James Stadium. It all started out at Beef o’ Brady’s where this lady had family problems and she had six Raymond James suite tickets to the Michigan game. I had all my Michigan gear on because I was supporting my team and she came up to me and gave me the tickets to the game. When she gave me the tickets she was leaving the restaurant and I run up to my family that were at Beef o’ Brady’s and said to them “Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa I was in the game room and this lady just gave me free six suite Raymond James tickets to the Michigan game because she saw that I had Michigan gear on”. My Mom looked at me and said, “where is that lady”. We looked and tried to find her but when we found her she was pulling out of the parking lot and we couldn’t stop her at all. So, when we went inside beef’s my mom said, “well it looks like we all are going to the Michigan game on January 1st, 2018”. Then my sister said “we are going to the Michigan game” about one million times and we all started laughing.
When I got up at 8:00, I was the first one to get dressed and ready to go to the game. We had to go and pick up are Grandma and Grandpa from there house at 8:30 and that didn’t work out at all because it took about 20 minutes to get Payton my sister out of bed because she said that she wanted to sleep longer because she was to tried to get up. When we got to Grandmas and are Grandpas house we picked them up and when we started to pull out of there driveway my Grandpa almost forgot the tickets to the game, so we had to go back to their house to get the tickets to go I the stadium. On the way to the game I was thinking of the last time I went to the Michigan game. The last time I went was about three to four years ago and that last time I went we played the South Carolina Gamecocks. Coming into the game Michigan had a record of 8-4 and had a very hard season this year and South Carolina also had a record of 8-4 to. When we got to the stadium we had to wait a little bit because we got there very early to the stadium. So, we were sitting in the car for such a long time for about thirty minutes and it was the longest thirty minutes of my life. We all were done with staying in the car and we all got out of the car and started to look for some activities to play so that me and Payton could play around a little bit. When we were all done with all the activities Payton didn’t have a Michigan shirt for her game, so we looked to find and get her a shirt for the game. It was the longest line in the world and when we got up to the counter Payton couldn’t find the one she liked and then she didn’t even get a shirt at all. When we were all done with the shirt looking a finding we waited in another line to get in the stadium for about another 30 minutes. When we got into the stadium we had to take a left to the elevators because of the tickets we had. When we got out of the elevators I got super excited that we were going to sit in the suite ticket spot. When we went inside the suite we all were so amazed about how nice it was inside. When we were done on looking how nice it was we looked for are seats, so we know where to seat and be in the wrong seat. Once we found the seats that we were supposed to sit at we started to take pictures to remember the game and the moment. I got the best picture out of the whole family because I got a picture with the head couch of the University of Michigan Jim Harbaugh the best couch in the west. After all the pictures we went and started to eat food before the game so that we were not eating during the game. When we got up to the counter were all the food was and it was already made for use we looked for something to eat. When we were looking I found this pizza that had this parmesan cheese which made it the best pizza in the world. I enjoyed it so much and it made all the other food taste nasty. They had a lot of other food, but the pizza was the best in my opinion. After eating we all toke a couple of more pictures and then started to get ready for the game. When we looked in the corner we saw the sign of the South Carolina Gamecocks and then looked and saw them com out of there tunnel and then I looked and saw the big huge M for Michigan and then all the crowd of Michigan fans started to yell and scream like crazy. The the announcer yelled for Michigan and said, “hear are your Michigan Wolverines” and the crowd went wild and crazy and Jim Harbaugh was the first one to come out of the tunnel. After all the introduction to both teams it was time for the coin toss. The team captains of Michigan came out and they were Mason Cole, Chris Evans, Ty Isaac, and Mike McCray. When they got to the middle of the field they did the coin toss and Michigan got the ball first which was not a good thing because of which Michigan won’t get the ball out of half time. It was kick off and everyone was yelling and screaming. Then they kicked it off we got the ball and Chris Evans started to run and got to about the 35-yard line and my whole family were very happy. We were moving down the field and we got stopped at about the 20-yard line then had to take a field goal. So, we were up 3 to 0 with about 10:00 to go in the first half of the game. Then because we scored we had to kick the ball off to South Carolina and they got to the 20-yard line and the whole family yelled like crazy because they only got to the 20-yard line. Then when they had the ball they did nothing with it and punted it back to use. We got the ball back with about 2:00 left in the quarter to score to extended are lend in the game. It was first and 10 and we did a pass to the right side to get 10 yards on the play and got out of a bonus on the play to stop the clock at 30 seconds to go. We snap the ball and did a play called the wheel route which means a pass play that the running back in the back field goes out for a pass to the side and the player was Chris Evans was wide open and got a great 30-yard pass to get Michigan close to the enzone. We had 10 seconds to go and we tooked a timeout to stop the clock from running and kick a field goal to make the lead to 6 to 0 lead going into half time. When half time was at play I went back to get more pizza to eat because I liked it so much. We talked for a little bit about what we need to fix to keep are lead alive. When the 15:00 minute half was over which felt like a 30-minute half time both teams came out of both of there tunnels. South Carolina got the ball back because Michigan had the ball first in the first half of the game. Michigan kick off the ball to South Carolina and they got 20 yards on the kick off. South Carolina had the ball and they did a pass to the right side and it was a 50-yard pass and they scored on the play. The score in the game was now 7 to 6. That made my family very angry because they scored on the first play that they had the ball. So, South Carolina kicked the ball back to Michigan and we got 50 yards on the kick off which was great. Michigan had the ball and they tried to show the other team that they could throw the ball long to and it ended up as being an interception and South Carolina got the ball back. They got the ball back and scored on a running play this time and on there first play again and made the lead to a 14 to 6 lead on Michigan. So, they kicked it off and Michigan got the ball and scored on the kick off to make the score to a 14 to 13 lead. We had 10:00 minute to get the ball back and play some football. So, we kicked it back to South Carolina and they fumbled the kick and Michigan stopped the on the 10-yard line. We needed them to punt the ball to get it back, so we could go down the field and score. They started out with some run plays and were wasting time and couldn’t stop them from wasting time and the income was that Michigan losed to South Carolina again. It was hard on my family to see use lose like that twice, but at the same time we got to expertise something that other people can’t do in their life time and I enjoyed it very much and wish that I could seat in there seat every time I go to Raymond James Stadium.
