Man in the Mirror

I looked into the bathroom mirror, but it was a different face from my own which stared back at me… It was a man. He was quite a bit older than me. There was something off about him, and for some reason he seemed oddly familiar to me. I stood there in awe staring at the man. Going a while without blinking dried my eyes out. The instant I blinked, he was gone without a trace. It seemed as if he was never even there, never even standing before me in my bathroom mirror. I shook my head and played it off as a figment of my imagination and decided it’d be best if I didn’t mention the events that had just taken place.

I continued through my day like normal, yet it felt like someone was watching me throughout the entirety of the day. When I was walking through the mall with my friends Kane and Quinn, they had asked me why I was acting so weird. Confused as to what they meant I said, “What are you talking about?” They said I was acting “distant” and seemed “off”. I scoffed at the comments and just brushed them off, hoping they’d drop the subject. We continued going from shop to shop wasting our allowances on crap we knew we didn’t need. When we were walking back to my car to go home, I made a quick stop to the bathroom. When I had finished my business I went to wash my hands and face. While I was wiping my face clean, I glanced into the mirror and I saw the same man I had seen earlier that day. I vigorously shook my head to see if he’d vanish like he had before, but when I looked up he was still there staring at me with a menacing smile. His hands slowly began to morph through the mirror towards me. I was frozen in terror for a while before i finally got the sense to run. I ran all the way through the parking lot not stopping until I was safe inside my car with Kane and Quinn. They asked me why I was running and if someone was chasing after me. I simply told them that I was just in a rush to get home. They shared a quick glance that said they didn’t believe me for a second, but to my luck they decided to drop the subject. After I dropped my friends off at home I went straight home and locked myself in my room. I was still so terrified from the nights events that I was unable to sleep until about 3am.
Around 5am I was startled awake by a man standing in my room dragging me across my room towards my bathroom. I tried to scream, but I was so scared that nothing came out. The man dragged me into the bathroom and then brought me to the mirror. He picked me up and tossed me at the mirror, I braced myself to slam into the mirror, but it never happened. When i finally got the courage to open my eyes again, I was in a weird flipped version of my own room. I was so shaken by everything that had just taken place that I had just sat there in awe about what was happening. I was brought back to reality when the strange man jumped through the mirror towards me. I got up and started to run through the strange house with the man following close behind me. He began yelling at me to stop running because he was not going to hurt me, but I ignored him and just started to sprint faster. I finally made it to the front door and thrust it open and sprinted down the street. When I was sprinting a sudden beam of light came from the side of the road and blinded me. I held my hands up to attempt to block the blaring lights, then BAM I was hit by a fast moving vehicle.

The next thing that I remember was waking up in the hospital with a bunch of people that were just staring at me in anticipation. That’s when the strange man that had kidnapped me stood up and said, “Welcome home. Son.”
