Impression
The pictures plastered around the room are irrelevant now. If someone who never knew this life saw, they would think so many things that are no longer true. Yet something keeps them from being taken down, from being replaced. It’s home, even if the pictures are of strangers from the past. They’re all memories, times believed to be the happiest. Yet they’re not. They don’t display the most important people. They’d be forgotten if not for the fact they hang on the walls day in and day out. It’s unfortunate. All these pictures to make this place a home yet they’re filling the room with strangers, days that aren’t remembered, memories that are nothing.
But there’s a reason. Even if it’s not understood. A reason those are left on the walls.
To show all that's left behind. To appreciate all that's come to be.
It's the ever growing life.
