Tortoise and the Hare
Once upon a time, there were a group of Tortoises and then there were groups of hares. They all got along just fine. Until there was this one tortoise Nathan bragging to another hare Jonathan about how fast he was. Not only did Jonathan not like what Nathan was saying but he challenged him to a race. Everyone including Nathan started laughing at Jonathan thinking he meant as a joke. Jonathan was serious though so Nathan accepted his challenged and they went over to the fields to race. They planned a route to race it would go through the prairie into the forest Then you would come around and finish where we started. It was time to start the race 3,2,1 Go. Nathan got off to a really early lead he got so far ahead that he went to the forest somewhere to take a nap. Nathan was wondering around and was having a great until he lost track of time he didn't know how late it was. He went to the finish line as he saw Jonathan about to cross it so he sprinted. Jonathan turned around and saw Nathan coming so he ran as fast as he could. His heart beating a mile a minute and his legs moving faster than they had ever moved in his life. Jonathan had all the determination and confidence in the world that he could cross that finish line before Nathan. Jonathan was looking at the finish line seeing that it was so close to him but then he would turn around and see Nathan getting closer the closer he got the harder he pushed. Jonathan was right at the finish line right next to nathan but Jonathan had crossed it first everyone went crazy and couldn't believe their eyes. Nathan was mad he was trying to look for excuses but he didn't have one. The only thing that the Hare’s did was pick up Jonathan and raise him up like he was a champion. Jonathan was so happy and taught some great lessons to Nathan always be humble.
