Snowy Snowboard
It was in the middle of the winter when a huge storm hit Brattleboro hard. It had snowed the whole night before and it was continuing to snow throughout the day. Many kids in the area were really excited to not have to go to school. But there were a few kids really happy that there was snow. They were a group of snowboarders who had not really had a chance to snowboard all winter because there was hardly any snow. It was a group of four, Alec, Sam, Connor and, James. They have known eachother since they were 4. They are all juniors in highschool now and most of them are 17 years old. They all live around the same area as well so they all could walk to each other's houses.
These four, once they found out that there was no school they began to message each other. They all got up and saw the snow sparkle in the air for the first time all year. They all started to walk to the hill in their neighborhood. They brought their snowboard equipment and their shovels to make stuff. Once they got there they saw the untouched snow glitter in the sunlight. They felt the cold breeze on their faces. They all go out and take a few runs to pack down the snow to make a trail. Connor decides to start making a jump in the untouched area. James and Sam begin to go into the woods and started searching for logs with nice groves and branches to use for equipment. They find a few and begin to start setting up them on the hill so they can glide over them with their boards. Alec is using his board to flatten compact the snow all over so that they have a good area to use. They spend all day listening to the breeze of the air and watching the snow sparkle in the light.
It turns night time and the snow is still glittering down in the moonlight. The four boys are finally ready to start going down the hill. They all begin to walk up the hill with their equipment to get ready. They decide to go one by one down the hill. They hit the first rail and they hear their boards glide across it. They also could hear the boards hit the ground after going over the rough sticks and logs. They hit the last big jump one by one. They all could feel the breeze hitting them in the face as well as the snow. They all hit the ground right after eachother as you hear them slapping the ground. They think it's time to go home. They all gather their stuff and head home.
