Charleston Prep High School was having open auditions for a contest to see who wins an internship at the best dance studio in the country. Elana Had been waiting for this audition to show she had what it took to be a dancer. Elana has practiced day in and day out to be the best dancer she can be. For example in a rainy summer day she was practicing on her back porch, when all of the sudden her little brother Ethan, took off running out the back door and into the family garden, which by this point was a giant mud puddle. Ethan was jumping and rolling around in the garden, and when he was finished he came running over to me and looked like a giant mud monster.
Back to the auditions now, the school hand selected 37 of the best dancers at the school to audition. With only 1 winning dancer. With Elana not only practicing by dancing, but also eating healthy. Elana has been on a diet of strictly vegetables and water and the occasional meat of either steak or chicken. Elana’s favorite part of the diet is her being able to eat her favorite vegetable, green beans. Elana has always loved green beans, since she was a little girl she was always happy when she saw a pot of green beans plop down on the dinner table for dinner. Her mom would always say there would be a smile on his face going from ear to ear.
Only one night did Elana break her diet. But not in the way many people break their diet. Elena and her friends had been waiting a month for the Fetty Wap concert in her town. The day of the concert her and her friends left for the concert excited not only to see Fetty Wap but also because they had backstage passes.Elana and her friends waited backstage for a chance to meet their favorite rapper. The rapper being Fetty Wap of course, Fetty wap and his dancers travel all around the world performing for millions of millions of fans and Elana was stoked to be able to meet him. Of the stage comes Fetty Wap straight to where Elana and her friends were standing, Fetty Wap signed Elana’s shirt, then she got a picture with Fetty Wap. Fetty Wap asked Elana to go to the after party with him, so she did. Not knowing there was going to be alcohol and drugs. They arrive at the party and Elana’s friends were with her for the beginning of the party till they left her and her not seeing them again till about 3 hours into the party, but her friends were high from smoking weed. Elana’s friends were all smoking weed and they were trying to get Elana to, they were pushing her and pushing her to…. Elana didn't want her friends to not like her so she tried it, this is the first time ever Elana has ever done anything that bad. Elana just did everything that her friends did, smoke and drink. That's all Elana remembers from that night though.
Elana needed to win this audition not only to be a back up dancer and make money but also because she wasn't going to college any time soon. Elana was not very smart and she didn't do much of her school work mainly because she didn't want to. If Elana wins this audition though she won't have to go to college, because she will be making plenty of money off of dancing.
The day of the contest comes and Elana had huge butterflies in her stomach, she was extremely nervous, she didn't want to mess up, this determined her future. Elana went on stage and danced the best she ever has before. Elana thought to herself “ there was no way they don't choose me I danced phenomenally, or did I?” After all of the contestants the judges had made their decision.
Elana had won! Elana won due to her experience in dance and they thought that it was nothing but great potential out of her. This meant Elana didn't have to go to college and could continue to do what she loved most dance.
