Kamisama arigat?
Serenity, peace, a story with no true ending, where your heart decides to continue the lullaby that circles your dreams, and the nightmares of the past you hate. The regrets you would starve yourself to forget, the choices you backed away from, all your mistakes, are what made you human. This tale is one that you never hear of this time around, I will bring you back to the beautiful world of the Gods and Goddesses themselves, Land, Water, Sky, and Fire.
A night unlike others, rain and thunder rippled through the Earth’s internal temple, disrupting plants of their meditation, and the soil was becoming heavily sickened from the violent grinding of the roots. That night, a little boy came rushing, to the Higurashi’s Will of Wrath shrine. The stars hid behind the walls of black and grey, the lightening tortured the boy’s anxiety, his face filled to the brim with terrifying hope to make it to my arms.

“I wish to find the will of the Land God!” he exclaimed with merciful eyes.
“For who are you seeking, dearest one?” I responded calmly.
“The Land Goddess Kami, is that who you may be? I beg of you, if you are, please allow me to become what I bet one of thousands and thousands of student apprentices!”
The boy seemed to be expecting an offering yet hesitated. I extended arm to his beat and tear filled porcelain face, my hand’s warm envelopment, led to an embrace.
“Your skin, it’s wounded and torn, you’ve become cold and scared. What is it you seek, my dearest student?”
The boy’s eyes widened, and he slowly came to realize that I would accept him without hesitation or conflict. He had the gentle blue eyes of a cat, his hair was as white as the snowy fields beyond the mountains of the villages, there was a black streak across his bangs, and his hands, frozen, yet soft to the touch.
“A new ‘heir’ has apparently arrived, how unfortunate.”

I've always loved the beauty of Japanese colors, culture, and art, this novel was inspired by several Japanese animation series, such as:
Naruto, Inuyasha, and Kamisama Kiss
