Summers Well Spent
Ever since I was a little kid, the Indian Trail Club has always been a special place in my life. Whether if it was swimming in the lake, racing in the pool, or chilling out by the snack bar, the Indian Trail Club has always been “the place” for my summer. It is special to me because most of my childhood summers were spent there with my friends and family. Everyone is very friendly there and there is so much to do. You can swim, play paddle or tennis, kayak, go on the paddleboats, eat at the restaurant, and basically everything else you would want to do at a country club. The Indian Trail Club means so much to me and that is why it is so special.
Going to the Indian Trail Club on a nice warm summer day for a barbeque is the best feeling. Not only is the food amazing when we make it, but the scenery is unbeatable. The sun sets right on the lake making a pretty pink and orange sky. Also, the smell of the fresh burgers and hotdogs sizzling on the grill is just truly amazing. But, it is not as good as the first bite into those scrumptious treats. Especially with all your close friends and family sitting around you. We all eat and reminisce on past experiences. After, we roast marshmallows on the grill with whatever is left of the charcoals that cooked the hotdogs and hamburgers. After the once white now golden brown creamy marshmallow had been perfectly heated, I slide it in between two graham crackers and a slightly melted Hershey bar to build the most perfect smore. I took a bite of it and I never had a smore that good. But at the end, I still didn’t know what was better, eating the smore or making it. When we are all done, we pack everything up and get ready to do it all again the next weekend. It is these experiences that make the Indian Trail Club so enjoyable.
Not only are the experiences special to me at the Indian Trail Club, but also the relationships are very important to me. One person I am very close to is Laurent and he has been my tennis instructor for years at the club and outside the club. He is funny, enjoyable, and very passionate about tennis. He has gotten close with me over the years and whenever I see him he brings a smile to my face. He is from France and is a great tennis instructor, person, and a nice guy to talk with. People make certain places special, and Laurent does that for the Indian Trail Club.
The Indian Trail Club also has a ton of activities and thing to do. During the summer you can play tennis then hop into the lake or pool. Or in the winter you can play paddle and then after get a nice cup of hot chocolate. You can do all these things at the club, and they are memorable experiences.
The Indian Trail Club is a special place in my life because of all the time I spend there. There are things to do there and that is what makes it great. Also, everyone at the club is very nice and you can make new friends there. Not only that, but you can have memorable experiences with friends and family. To conclude, the Indian Trail Club is important and special to me because of what I have made of it and what it has to offer.
