London,England

He was playing in the backyard with his dog. He really hated his backyard it was only big enough for a village. He wanted a bigger more substantial house. He wanted a more desirable dog rather than this dog which he thought was a mongrel. The man who sold it to him was a dog breeder who said it was the finest kind. He is worth one thousand pounds but he is worth zero to William.
Elizabeth passionately exclaimed "William, come in here now we have a surprise for you!" Elizabeth was an average height woman in her early 40's. She still looked young and healthy. She had black hair, black eyes, and a lot of makeup on her face. She was wearing a yellow dress and had red, sparkling shoes.
"It better be good mother.....unlike the dog." Replied William.
William was very uninterested. He was staggering and walking in a lazy, unusual motion. It took him a long time to reach his mother considering the size of his backyard and the length of his legs since he was only eleven years old. When William reached his mother his face was as expressionless as a rock. It was almost as if he could already tell he did not like what was coming. His dog trailed behind him and his face looked better than William at this moment. William passed his mother without even a stare and entered their gigantic, fancy, classical, brick mansion which was the royal palace. He plopped on the gigantic, colorful sofa that was made with very rare material. His mother, who was very angry on the inside, walked over to him and acted like nothing happened. She brought him outside and showed him his present. It was a young, tall, silver, rare, stallion that had a great golden blonde mane. William still looked uninterested. His father came at this moment after finishing a conversation with his servant.
"What, you don’t like it."said Eric his father. Eric was a tall man. He was built and very strong. He had a brown beard that was not too big. He had brown hair and brown eyes and he was wearing a white silk coat with black shoes. Eric was the king of their time.
"I want a bigger one." said enraged William.
"This one is big enough already and it's very beautiful." said mother with a low shameful voice.
William whimperingly exclaimed,"I know what I want and I don’t like it."
His mother had enough of him. She bitterly stated," You spoiled, bratty, insolent, child. How dare you disrespect me and your father after we try so hard to please you........"
Williams thoughts were clouded. He was not thinking straight and he completely acted on impulse. He raised his hand and slapped his mother. Jack, the dog jumped at him and bit his hand. His mother in tears and his father in shock. He ran up to his room, hand still bleeding from the bite. He hated his parents and he didn’t want to see them again.
William was angrily strutting around his room until he got tired. He went to his bed and started kicking the wall. His eyes were getting blurry and his muscles were starting to relax. He was falling into a deep sleep. He awoke. Not at home or outside with his parents, but inside a tiny house with one candle to give light and rats everywhere. He was frightened and disgusted. Where was he and why wasn’t he in his bed inside his nicely scented room with his red, round, puffy pillow. He woke up and he walked around to explore. He saw a man standing there with food in his hands.
William said,"Hey you, give me your food. I am the son of Eric Henry. I am heir to the throne."
The man laughed. "Son what are you talking about!"
"I am not your son, what are you talking about?" Said William.
The man looked confused."William there's no time for joking around, eat your breakfast quickly. We need to get to the fields and harvest the crops for Lord George. If we don’t then we will be forced onto the streets again. William was confused but he was hungry so he decided to not argue and just eat the food. When he sat down he saw a stale, hard piece of moldy bread and cold porridge. William was used to eating exquisite, luxurious , meals on his long table with many servant. He was enraged and completely disgusted.
"What is this garbage. I asked for food not waste. Who do you think I am to treat me like this. A dog?" Screamed William.
The man got angry."You ungrateful child. We raised you and work hard for you just so you can live. We have no money but we still try. I ought to beat you right now but if I did you would not be able to do work on the fields."
The uproaring caused everyone else to wake up. There was one girls, one woman, and a boy. The entire family looked skinny. They were very slender and pale with dirt everywhere on their body like they haven't washed for months. William looked down at himself and realized he was like this too. He was in shock and he almost fainted. Why was this happening to him, why was he being treated like this.
"Father, why is Johnny yelling." Said the girl. She was a very miniscule child. She was very small but she had a big head. She had very slender arms and short legs. Her brown hair and black eyes matched because of their dark color.
"Oh he is just a little tired probably." Said the man.
"Gilbert, you should get going to the fields now. Take Johnny, Maria, and Joseph with you." Said the woman.
"Yes Sarah my dear. Let's go kids." Said Gilbert.
Joseph said,"Hey Johnny I'll race you to the fields." Johnny was a bit taller than Maria. He had some muscle but was still skinny and he had very light brown hair which was almost blonde. He had green eyes and a big mouth which made you see all his teeth when he smiled.
William didn’t like that they called him Johnny but he was extremely scared of Gilbert for threatening to beat him so he shut up about it. This was the first time William had felt threatened. He was starting to miss his home very much and his gigantic luxurious house, meals, and servants. He even missed his parents and wasn’t mad at them. He was still very hungry and he felt the food he ate was making him sick. He needed water too and he felt he could fall and die at this moment.
They walked through the lords Manor and saw all the other peasants doing their business. He now understood that he was a peasant too. There was one man throwing up and another man cleaning the cow pen and taking all their waste and using it for compost.
They made it to the fields and they started picking carrots and onions. There were worms and bugs crawling on the soil. One bug got on his hand and one in his pants. He tried to get them off but he fell and landed in the soil and got it all over him. Some of the other peasants laughed. He was about to cry but he held it in. He felt so humiliated and ashamed. Gilbert picked him up and commanded that he pick more crops or else he would be beat. William was unable to continue. He felt too much pain, his stomach was inflamed, he was humiliated, and he was too hungry to do anything else. He decided to eat some of the carrots on the fields. One knight caught him and they sent him to the lord for questioning.
The lord was a tall man. He and the knights looked like they were the only people who had eaten this week in the Manor. The lord was tall but also very plump and sluggish. He had some hair but he was starting to go bald. His dark black hair was slicked back and his green eyes were very sharp that it gave the illusion that he could look into your soul. He wore a fur coat and had a cane with a diamond on the top. The knights had shiny grey armor and swords longer than him. They all had helmets on so you could not see their faces.
The lord was very angry. He had a angry look on his face. Since he was old, making an angry face made his entire face wrinkle.
Lord George said," Who do you think you are peasant boy. You think you can steal my things and get away with it. Answer me!"
William was shivering. He had goosebumps on his skin and his eyes were tearing up. He said,"I'm sorry I didn’t know. I was very hungry."
The lord then replied,"I don’t care if you were hungry. There's no excuse for this. You broke the rules and you will get the consequences. You will be beaten as a punishment."
The knights beat William as a punishment for what he did. William was being kicked and hit by the knights which caused him immense pain. William wished desperately that he could leave this nightmare.
"I wish I was back with my real family. I took wealth for granted and my family for granted. I love them and I don’t like being poor. I learned my lesson. Please someone get me out of here I hate it. I will never mistreat my parents ever again. I will treat my dog, servants, and the poor nicely. Please someone save me!" Said William.
There was a bright flash of light. William Fell off of his bed took a huge breath as if he had not breathed for two minutes. He opened his eyes very fast and they were open so wide as if he were being attacked by a wild animal. He realized it was his room and that he was just asleep for an hour. He was so happy that he was not poor with a harsh life anymore. He let out tears of joy and he rushed down the stairs to his parents. His parents were sitting down in the living room reading their books when he showed up.
"Mother, Father I am very sorry. I know I have been a brat and I have mistreated you countless times and it is time for me to change. I do not want you to be mad at me. Please forgive me for what I have done. I have taken you for granted and everything else in this house. The horse you gave me is the most beautiful horse in the world and the dog is the best one too."
"We forgive you as long as your words are true." said his father.
William passionately exclaimed"I swear I mean it!"
William never broke his promise in his life. He was a better person with an inspiring personality. He never took wealth for granted and after his father had passed away he took the throne. He became a great leader and made reforms that bettered the treatment of the poor.
