The Blind Man
It was a hot busy afternoon and the road was congested. Impatient drives honked as the cars ahead them reduced to a crawl. A blind man stood at the traffic lights led by a dog. A little distances away was a little girl with her mother. The little girl was tugging at the mother's hand and refused to budge, her fingers pointing at the vendor selling fried chicken. I was standing on the opposite side of the road but the aromatic smell of the fried chicken drifted across the road.
Unable to pull the daughter away, the mother stopped by the vendor to buy her piece of the fried chicken. The little girl held on to the hot fried chicken gingerly with her fingers. She took a few bites and soon the traffic lights turned green. Her mother jerked her hands to lead her across the road. Th piece of chicken dropped on the pavement as the mother and child rushed across the road.
Just as people were dashing across the road, the dog pulled it leash from the blind man and pounced on the piece of chicken. The blind man without the dog leading its way stood uncertain in the middle of the road. Noticing that the man the light is about to turned red, a boy dashed across and led the blind man safely to the others side of the road. The blind man was thankful and held the boy hand tightly. The boy led him to a seat. He enough, after devouring the piece of chicken, the dog came and quietly sat beside the blind man. Together they made their way along the busy road.
The moral of this story is we have to help people in need and helping one another will gives us sense of satisfaction.
