One day I decided to go on a fishing trip by myself to a local lake called Lake George. It was a relatively large lake with many fish to catch trout, bass, and even some catfish. I got in my boat, tied on a bobber, snapped on a couple weights, and put a nightcrawler on the end of the hook. When I casted out, I noticed some man about only 5 yards away from me.
“Nice weather today?” I started trying to avoid too much conversation. This man almost looked homeless with his untrimmed hair and beard.
“It is ain’t it? and by the way my name is Jeffrey.” He replied.
“Well Jeffrey, why sure it is. Do you live around here?” I waited about 15 minutes and nothing was heard coming from him from that point. I started to notice that his boat slowly started to get closer to mine. I was starting to get creeped out and even a bit paranoid that he didn’t answer my question. I stayed there for a bit longer ending up catching nothing, I just wanted to stay away from this guy. I told him that I had to go. But then he replied as if he were very angry, exclaiming...
“Why do you think you need to do that?” I went to the edge of the water with the man still following me. Of course being me, I tripped over the edge of the boat and I had left everything there, I ran about 8 blocks all the way down to my house without stopping. There was no sign of “Jeffrey” for a while, once it started to turn to about 10pm, then I thought I should get some rest. Completely forgetting about Jeffrey. I suddenly woke up to leaves rustling on the side of my house. My heart dropped when I suddenly heard a voice saying
“I know you’re in there little buddy.” I went to my closet to grab my 9mm, I looked out the window to see him. But he was looking only at the ground, I proceeded to call 911 and they arrived within 15 minutes. Jeffrey just kept staring at the ground when the cops arrested him. Being dragged away he said “take these for your own use.” I ran outside to find what Jeffrey was looking at. A garbage bag laying in the leaves, I opened it to reveal a plethora of hooks and knives. I looked at Jeffrey who was smiling through the windshield looking at me with the biggest and most horrifying grin I have ever seen in my life and still remember it to this day. He is still in jail and I have never had anything like that happen to me since.

I was inspired by one of my friends that had a similar story, butI had changed it quite a bit.
