Always Exhale Never In

“What beautiful eyes you have young man”, said some lady in the supermarket.

Sky was always complimented on how beautiful his eyes were. He was eighteen years old, a light skinned man with crystal blue eyes. He was every girl's dream guy, he worked out all the time and was the ultimate ladies man. Sky was never unconfident in himself , he never let anything bother him when you would expect that it would. His parents split when he was fourteen, so he had trouble coping with it for a short amount of time until he started a new hobby, smoking weed. One of Sky’s friends told him about it and he was instantly hooked. He called his friend Jack and asked him if he had any and he said yes.
After going to pick up the pot from his friends house he went home, walked up the stairs greeting his sister and mother, and then slowly walked up to the third level of his house, where his bedroom was located. He did exactly what jack had told him to do, cover all the bottoms of the doors with pillows and blankets, because his bathroom was connected to his room, open both of his windows, and relax. It is almost ten o’clock now and it is still sitting in his bag with the bowl that Jack had gave him. As he sits in his room he thinks of all the negative things that could happen from smoking weed and all the positive things that could happen. An hour goes by and Sky decides to do it, Jack had taught him how to do it so he wasn't going into doing it with no knowledge at all. As he sparks the first bowl pack he begins inhaling, he gets a gigantic head rush and starts to uncontrollably cough. His mom calls him from downstairs and asks him if he is ok, knowing what would happen if his mom smelt it, he stayed in his room and told her that he was alright. Hit after hit after hit, Sky started to feel like he could touch himself, the sky.
Blurry eyed and confused, he sprayed a can of febreeze that his friend had given him to get rid of the smell. This is a new feeling, he’d thought to himself, how come people don't do this all the time. He layed in bed for a little while awake then slowly fell asleep.
He woke up the next morning feeling extra tired, but very happy. He got ready for school at the time, because he was only fifteen. It was eight o’clock and he walked into school very happy and confused. Jack ran up to him and asked him how he felt. In a weird way, Sky had felt like a bunch of weight had been lifted off his shoulders. When school let out Sky had one thing on his mind, smoking weed.
As time went by, Sky had become an expert on marijuana, from the things you could smoke out of, the types of weed, and even knowing how to hide it in case of an emergency. Now at the age of eighteen, he had matured and become a major stoner.
One day, Sky was playing basketball with his friends and he got a phone call, it was his Uncle Brian. He answered the phone very calmly and asked his Uncle what the problem was. His mother had gotten in a car accident on the way home from the supermarket. For once in a very long time, Sky was sober. He rushed inside to grab his car keys and rushed to the hospital, leaving his friends behind. The car ride there was quiet and he couldn't focus on anything else but his mother's well being.
He finally arrived at the hospital, ran up the hallway and entered his mother's room, he could not believe what he was seeing. She had bruises all over her face and cuts up and down her neck. He ran to her bedside and asked her if she was okay, but she couldn't talk. The doctor asked Sky to leave the room, so he did, crying hysterically. As he let out a huge sigh, he vowed to never smoke weed ever again because something like this could've happened again and he never wanted to be under the influence when it did.

This piece shows that drugs might seem interesting and fun at first but they really are not.
