The abandoned
I was running, running very fast with pains in my chest. I knew something wasn't right. "Something" other than me, was living inside this house, spreading out its crawls and watching me every second!
I didn't know how I got here. Following a friend's advice, I went to the real estate agent in the downtown street and that was when my destiny changed. "We have an old house of the nineteenth century, as you ordered" - an old businessman said that with a pipe full of smoke in his hand. The moment I saw the house's picture, there was a mysterious force which made me deeply want to it at any cost. Soon, the contact was made and I moved my things to the new things.
After saying goodbye to the kind taxi driver, I walked into the house's garden and took a look at the surroundings. The front yard was so nice with light winds travelling through trees brought fresh air into my lungs. My new house, which was standing right in front of me, was a bit small in size compared to the garden. It had 2 floors and had been painted yellow outside, but the passing of time had made parts of the walls covered in green color. "Green of tea leaf." - I whispered.
After letting myself drown in the beauty of nature around me, I unconsciously looked up to the rooftop's window and almost shouted in fear! I wiped my eyes, and then opened them as largest as I could. Just a second ago, I thought I had seen light coming from that window - but that wasn't the biggest shock. I also saw a woman, wearing a dress - a white wedding dress staring at me! But now, I saw nothing, NO ONE and I said to myself: "Maybe it was just due to my tiredness."
2 days living in the new house had nearly passed and I started to feel strange, really strange. I usually received calls from unknown people. When I picked up the phone and said "Hello?", the other end of the line just kept quiet. The air inside the house suddenly turned cold and I felt like THAT "person", was staring at me through the phone, watching my every movement. But when looking around, again there was no one and I forced myself to believe that it was just my imagination.
It was scary, REALLY scary.
My unreasonable fear continued to increase when strange things happening around me seemed to become more frequent. I slept on the second floor, my room was near the ladder leading to the rooftop. I didn't want, or in order way to say it, I was afraid of wandering near that place. The image of that woman still existed inside my head, which continuously haunted me in my sleep.
I was sleeping, but a sound coming from the other side of my bedroom's door made me suddenly jump out from my dream. The sound was like something, something hard knocking. "Who is that?" - I shouted, the knocking suddenly stopped and everything turned silent again. I left my bed, slowly went to the door, opened it and looked outside. At the end of the corridor, stood a woman dressed in white. She was very beautiful, about 20 but somehow her eyes were full of fear, tremendous terror that I had ever seen.
"Were you the one I have seen 2 days ago? Why are you here? You have been staying here since before me right. Are you waiting for someone?" - I asked her.
The woman, on the other hand, gave no answer. She suddenly covered the face with her hands and started crying. I was so nervous, I didn't know what had happened to her. And so I ran to her side and gently patted her shaking shoulders to comfort her.
"What has happened, Miss? Why are you crying?"
"Help..." - she released her hands.
The moment I saw her face again, I immediately screamed in horror: Her face! It was terrifying! What I was seeing then was a skeleton! A skeleton with 2 eyeballs dripping out lines of blood!
"She" grabbed my hand: "Help me please... I don't want to die!" - and insects started coming out from "her" mouth. "No!" - I was terrified. I tried to run away from "her", escape from her grab and ran downstairs.
"Ahh!" - what I saw right in front of me gave me a dead shock: Blood! Blood was everywhere: On the floor, the wall, the front door! Suddenly the door was bumped, numerous skeletons fastly ran inside and grabbed my body. They were covered in dirt, some of them even lost parts of their bodies.
"Get out of me! Get out of me!" - I screamed, hopelessly fought against these creatures. My frightened eyes looked at the garden through the open door, on the ground, hundreds of bond hands were emerging, trying to get out of the Earth...
I woke up from the horrible nightmare. My body was full of dirt, but no blood. Very soon, I realized myself sitting on the floor. In front of me, the front door was left open... An hour later, the police came to check over the house. Nothing was stolen but my afflatus told me to also discover all the mysterious things inside this house. So, we started digging the garden. We then found near the front door, under a thick layer of earth, a skeleton wearing a white wedding dress, her neck occured a strong red wire... More policemen were called and by the end of the day, we found out that this place - the house and the garden, was nothing different from a cemetery! Hundreds of bodies were buried inside the earth, they had been seriously injured, they had been killed...
I left the house soon after that incident. After packing all my stuffs, I turned back to look at the house one last time. There I saw the woman, but not only her, many other women and children looking at me.
"Live peacefully, OK?" - I tole them and came into the taxi, went away, never looked back. Behind me, the ghosts slowly disappeared into the air...

The story revolves around a man who found himself staying at a house where many mysterious and scary things happened. I got the inspiration to write this story when I was still in grade 9, when our writing teacher told us to write a story to decide 60% of our class performance score. I still don't know why I chose horror as the main theme but it was actually a very memorable experience :)
