A 5 year old girl named paige has never gone out with her family. ever. Until her mother got them tickets to disneyland! In real lifemThey were having lots of fun there but she found that she couldn't ride space mountain because she was too short. she was devested because that was the ride that all of her friends are always talking about. She then went on other rides which got her to stop leaving tear trails on the floor but didn't stop her from being sad. At night when it got dark,  a parade started and she was amazed and she saw all the happy and kind princesses on the floats with all the vivid and bright fun colors, and she realized that she can ride space mountain anytime, the most important part of the trip was to bond with their families.

Chapter 1: Disneyland?!

Paige goes to school, hangs out with many friends, comes home, and watches tv until her parents come home. Her usual school routine. She always plays with her many friends, but they are way taller than her. She has always been shorter than her friends and classmates. Paige doesn’t go out too often, so her mom got her and her family tickets to disneyland! She was speechless, and she jumped in her mother’s arms and hugged her while a tear was running down her cheek.

“I know that dad and I are always working and we never have time to do anything as a family, so we got 3 tickets to disneyland! You deserve it. You do well in school, you are patient, and you never whine about anything. Wake up at 8:00am tomorrow so we can leave at 9:00.” said Paige’s mother.

Paige sprinted to her room and started getting ready for bed so she can wake up early in the morning. The whole time she was getting ready for bed, she couldn’t stop smiling and dancing. When it was seven o’clock pm, she was already sleeping!

Chapter 2: Space Mountain + tears

When she woke up the next morning, she jumped out of bed in just a second. She looked at the clock and it was 8:00. She skipped to the dining table with the same smile on her face, but way larger. Her mom and dad were making breakfast once Paige got to the kitchen. She ate the food like an animal, barely chewing, and scooping the food in her mouth with big spoonfuls. When it was her parents’ turn to eat breakfast, she was out of patience and told them to hurry up.

she exclaimed, “Come on! Let’s go!” after they finished.

Soon, they started driving to disneyland. In the car, she looked ahead every 10 seconds for 1 hour to see if they were close to disneyland or not. She then saw an area ahead with roller coasters, a ferris wheel and an entrance saying “DISNEYLAND” in massive letters. The closer they got, her eyes gradually got rounder and her smile got wider. Once they finally found a parking space, Paige and her parents stepped out of the car and walked to the entrance. There they were standing in front of the one and only, disneyland.

“It’s 10;00, let’s eat at 12:00. Until then, what rides do you want to go first?” Mom asked.

Paige looked around and found a fun looking roller coaster that she is tall enough to ride on. Paige has never gone on a roller coaster before and she has always dreamed of going on one.

Paige smiled and said, “I want to go on that roller coaster, then I want to go on that tea cup ride over there!” she pointed at a spinning ride.

They ran towards the roller coaster and the line was luckily short. After a few minutes, it was their turn on the ride. She stepped on to the ride, and it started to move. The ride accelerated and got faster and faster and  once she got use to it, she put her hands up and let go of her mom’s hand. Next, they all went on the teacup ride. She ran to the teacup ride as fast as a cheetah and stepped into the cup with no fear. Once the cups started to spin, Paige grabbed the wheel in the center and turned it like it was her job. She turned the wheel so fast that her skin was tight and her hair was flying out of the cup, moving up and down. After that ride, there was one ride she has always dreamed of going on. Paige looked around trying to find another ride to go on before lunch. A big sign caught her eyes and she noticed that It said space mountain and she tried to recall what her friends said about the roller coaster.

“This was the roller coaster that they were talking about!” Paige thought in her head.

Suddenly, her finger pointed to the ride like a magnet. She ran to the ride and after a few miniutes of waiting in line, The person who let people in the ride pulled out a stick with many measurements and he had paige stand in front of it to measure her height. Paige’s parents looked at her height and the recommended height. They both started to form a frown on their face.

They turned to paige and with the smile on her face, her mother quietly said,”I’m sorry sweetie, but your too short to ride space mountain.” Paige looked down and whispered, “oh”. While Her and her family was silent, they can hear the laughter and screams in the background. She whispered, “ Then let’s go.” looking at the ground while walking, leaving tears on the ground.

They walked away, trying to forget about space mountain. Her parents kept trying to cheer her up by buying her churros, cotton candy, ice cream, and some minnie mouse ears. She was still a little sad. Then, it was 11:30 and they started searching for some place to eat at. They found a small cafe looked very cabin-like, because of the wood/ trees smell, the wooden chairs. tables, and a nice view of some trees. At the cabin-like caffe, her parents bought coffee and Paige got some hot chocolate. They also ordered some bread and soup as well. Soon, they were full and went on the ferris wheel so they can digest the food before going on any fast moving rides again. Paige got to the ferris wheel and looked all the way up.

under her breath she said “WOAH”.

They got on the ferris wheel and they started to move. She was so high up that she got scared at the top. Later, her tears were gone, but she was still sad that she wasn’t aloud to ride space mountain. They went on the ferris wheel a 2nd time because Paige had her eyes closed most of the time when they went on the first time. They went on many more rides after that and they got some snacks once in awhile as well.

Chapter 3: Parade Happiness

When it got dark, the whole place started to light up with bright, fun colors. music started and they started a parade and the floats were massive and had such bright colors. Paige stated to form a smile as big as the floats. Her parents looked at her and saw Her smile and saw her large, round eyes with the reflections of the bright lights  from the floats. The floats were ridden by many of Paige’s favorite disney princesses. The princesses waved and she waved back. She chuckled and Paige had a bigger smile. Paige and her parents were very tired after a long day at disneyland so they started to take pictures with each other to capture the moments together. Paige was looking back and smiling. At the end, they started walking out of disneyland and Paige wasn’t sad anymore. She thought about this day 24/7 and thought about how her whole family bonded. This was a great day for her and her family, with a sad tragedy that didn’t seem so sad anymore.
