Thirst for a Relief
I was at the mall with friends, trying to pick out a birthday present for my close friend. We had gone to Nordstrom in search of the perfect pair of gray shoes for her. After searching for what felt like hours, my friend Ale decided he had to go to the bathroom. Little did he know that would be his biggest mistake.
A while passed and we wondered where our friend was. Then, I heard a faint ding coming from my pocket. I disregarded it, thinking that it was a notification. But I heard continuous dings. The endless ringing forced me to take out my phone and what I saw I almost couldn’t comprehend.
Ale was blowing up my phone, claiming an accident had happened and to hurry to the food court bathroom immediately. Expecting something terrible, we dropped everything and of course rushed to the bathroom. In it, I (being the only other boy) had to see what the problem was. It turns out my wonderfully stupid friend had peed his pants and was trying to dry them in the hand dryer. Holding in my laughter, I asked if he was alright and he replied in the most worrisome tone, “Just help me bro. I can’t stay like this.”
I exited the bathroom and met up with my other friends. Since his pants were not drying, we had to buy him a new pair since he had spent all of his money on lemonade. The only kicker is that no one else had money either, since they all spent it on endless amounts of clothes. The only one left with money was me.
Me, being the gentleman I am, agreed to buy him an expensive pair of gym shorts from foot locker. Nike. The money I had saved to treat myself I had to use on one of my best friends. It didn’t really bother me. He was really grateful that I basically saved his dignity. The only thing that really bothered me was that there was a bathroom in Nordstrom.
