In a faraway plain, wait no, how about a, nevermind. In a place of your choice, there was a colony of bees that lived in a big beautiful hive that glistened gold in the morning rays. Among the bees, was a guy named Barry. His job, like many of the males, was to collect honey for the hive. Barry was a smart bee and always kept himself busy. Even though he did not have hands, Barry juggled activities like a circus act. His daily routine was always different, but always chock full of things to do.
At the ring of his HivePhone 6, Barry woke up, got his stuff ready and buzzed off to watch the passing animals, as he usually did, than combat practice. For about two hours, Barry participated in various lectures and exercises to improve his sting. It was time for Barry to go.
“Hey Barry,” shouted an instructor, “you can’t just leave, practice ain’t done yet.”
“I’ve got things to do, you know that,” shouted Barry, halfway out the door, “Peace”
Just before he was about to exit the hive and retrieve honey, his parents called and asked him to run a few errands. So, he went off to do what they asked, like getting nectar for dinner. As soon as he finished, Barry rushed off to his next and final activity before work, flying practice. Flying was his strong suit, and he took pride in his achievements. Barry knew he still had to gather honey, but he decided on going after. After an excruciating practice, Barry was paralyzed in exhaust, every part of him aching to go dormant. He had worked his stripes off, and his eyelids felt like lead, welcoming the darkness. By the time he woke up, there was too little time to collect enough honey, but he did what he could.
“Barry!” shouted Mr. Byron, the bee in charge of collecting honey, “This is the fourth time this week you failed to meet expectations.”
“I am really sorry Mr. Byron I w-”
“No excuses,” Byron exclaimed, “If you screw up one more time, you can kiss your sorry stinger goodbye, because you will be sent out of the hive for good., do you understand me?”
“Yes sir,” replied Barry.
As he made his way home, Barry thought about the trouble he was in, but could not figure out what was causing it. He decided to take a detour to his parent’s house, and told them all about his day and his problem.
“It is so obvious Barry,” replied Mother Bee.
“It is indeed,” chimed in Father Bee.
“What is it then?” questioned the frustrated bee.
“You have too much on your plate,” stated both Mother and Father Bee, “along with the fact that you focus more on your hobbies than your jobs.”
At that moment, Barry realized what he had to do. So he did it, or he would no longer be a part of the colony. No longer did Barry wake up in a hurry to watch animals, or go to combat practice. Instead, he filled that gap with his job, collecting honey. It was not all bad, since he still went to flying practice, which was the most important to him. Also, he no longer had the stress of rushing around and doing bad at his job.

Moral: Focus on what is important, everything else can wait.
