Bittersweet Life

She sees black rusty wrought iron like the dark and bittersweet life that we go through
She hears a bird chirping free through the air like the freedom she once had
She feels the heat of the air burning my skin as if it were a living hell
She smells the citrus shampoo in her hair like the sweetness that she once tasted long time ago
She tastes the dry feeling of her mouth like her dry and hard heart that once it was pumping with great feelings of life
She imagines life as it once was and how everything she has done and everything she became is her worst fear and her worst enemy, she is trapped between two worlds that she can’t seem to get out of
