“A Clawsome Tale of Procatstination”
Even before cats Daisy, Adam, and Emmett went psycho, they were different. Daisy, with her startling green eyes, and Adam and Emmett, with their deep brown eyes, constantly traveled, never staying in one place. Then, one day, the trio found a clearing in the woods, and they decided that they would inhabit the place. Now, with a location, Daisy, Adam, and Emmett had to find water, food, and shelter. With three cats and three jobs, each cat was assigned a job. Daisy was to find water, Adam was to find food, and Emmett was to find shelter. However, there was a problem with this arrangement. “Oh my god, look at this flower, Adam! Hey, Emmett, look at me, I almost caught that butterfly!”
“I’m sure that flower’s real pretty,” Adam replied, as he searched for food.
“Good for you, Daisy,” Emmett responded, as he scanned the immediate vicinity for a hospitable shelter that would protect them in the winter.
Daisy, oblivious to the change in weather that would take place in a few days, frolicked in the cool autumn breeze. For Adam and Emmett, it was a busy autumn, as they prepared for the winter that was to come. After the first snowfall had begun, the frigid winter wind howled around them, threatening to engulf them and rage around them, until they felt no more. However, the cats took refuge in a shelter Emmett had found. Then, to fight off the cold that chilled them to the bone, Adam provided food that he was able to find. When the cats were full, and ready to take a sip of water, problems began to arise.
“Daisy… Where’s the water?” Emmett asked.
“Oh, that? I’m pretty sure it’s around here somewhere,” Daisy shrugged.
“Wait… Are you saying you don’t have it?” Adam questioned, shocked.
“I mean, I’m sure we can find it in a few hours,” Daisy answered.
It was soon found that Daisy, instead of finding a steady source of water, had played the whole autumn. Now the cats were unable to hydrate themselves, and after the cats’ eyesights were blurred, they wandered around aimlessly. Then came the dizziness and nausea, as well as the parched throats. It felt as if they had run for miles without rest. Later the deprivation of water had left them hallucinating and mumbling randomly. Finally the cats slept, never to wake again.
Moral: In a group, be the upstanders, not the bystanders.

I was inspired by my middle school experiences to write this piece. I hope that people will learn from my experiences, and read in between the lines, in terms of the lesson that is taught. I hope that they will take a animalistic tale seriously, and apply the moral to their everyday lives.
