Johnny's Adventure
On a dark day in the woods Johnny was walking around when he heard a noise. It was a faint humming that he couldn’t hear well but it was definitely there. He walked toward the noise to find an owl. Johnny figured the noise wasn’t the animal so he kept walking. Johnny was always very curious and wanted to check this out as it seemed interesting enough to follow but frightening enough to regret.
It was about an hour when Johnny came upon a wooden stick that was glowing red. He found it intriguing and wanted to see what it could do. He picked the thing up and noticed that there was a little button. Out of curiosity, Johnny pressed the button and it vibrated. He turned around to see and orange dot that was getting larger by the second. It gave him the chills because it just looked so cool. When the circle was at its full potential, it looked very odd. It was white on the inside and orange on the outside. Johnny touched it, pulled it open and stuck his head inside. It looked like a futuristic city in the year 9800. He then brought the rest of his body through. Johnny was scared. He immediately dropped the wand that he was holding and ran away.
He didn’t know that the wand was the only way to get back. He didn't realize that he would be stuck in the future.
Johnny was freaking out because he had no money or food and no idea how to leave. He knew that if the wand brought him here, it would have to bring him back. It was just a hunch, but it was strong enough to believe.
Johnny retraced his steps to the street where he dropped the wand. But it wasn’t there!
He had to track it down. He found it in the back of a power plant. It was in the dumpster. He fidgeted around with it and finally found a purple button that said “DO NOT PUSH! THAT MEANS YOU!” Johnny figured that the only way he had a chance to get back home was to push that button. It felt like he was being pressured by everyone for this moment.
He pushed the button and tried to protect himself. It felt like an hour of pain for Johnny. But it was all worth it when he ended back in the woods. There was a creature standing over him and breathing down his neck, “Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello?” the creature remarked Johnny screamed, “Shut up!”
The creature responded, “Calm down Jonathan.”
“How do you know my name?” He was scared and cold.
“Jonathan, you have found our stick of travel.”
“Why the heck would you have a stick with a button on it that takes people 7000 years into the future?”
Well, it was actually 7561 years but 7000 works. We have it because we were trying it out on a curious human. To be fair, it is a good trait to be curious.
“Well thank you Mr. Oddball, but I don’t want anything to do with you.”
“That hurt my feelings. And by the way, my name is actually Mr. Sly and I am a professor of the Venus Academy of Time Travel.
“Well okay but that explains just about nothing so lets play a game called leave Johnny alone.”
“Sounds interesting. Okay bye!”
Mr. Sly winked and flashed away. Johnny was happy that was the last time he would see Mr. Sly.
Little did Johnny know that Mr. Sly wouldn’t be back but another alien would come back to him. See the Venus Academy of Time Travel, or the VAOTT, wasn’t just testing the people on Earth’s curiosity, they were testing the intelligence and patience of the Earthlings. This would mean that Johnny would have to endure more intelligence tests in the near future.
Sure enough, the next week Johnny found a glowing rock with a button on it. He picked it up and figured that it could be another time travel machine and he would get stuck again. Without thinking about what could possibly happen, he threw it behind him and kept on with his day. Well that rock landed on the button so it got pushed without Johnny knowing. It made another portal that Johnny didn’t see. The button didn’t have an any effect until Johnny got out of school. Or so it seemed. It actually brought in a person from the future who was freaking out about how he got there. Johnny thought back, the rock! He thought, not again.
Johnny knew that there was a group of special aliens behind this so we went looking around where he found the rock. He then found an odd looking man who said to him, “Well hello Johnny.”
Johnny answered, “Now who are you?”
The thing replied, “I am Mr. Solo and I am...”
“Let me stop you there,” Johnny interrupted “I don’t really care what you’re doing but just get this future man out of here and get on with your life and stop bothering me and my life. Okay?”
“Well if you insist.” Mr. Solo brought the guy back to the future and then left. Johnny knew that they would not give up with just that so he was always on the lookout for something strange.
It was a sad day on Venus, they had to stop messing around with the Earth people. But it was the day Johnny was free. And let me tell you, Johnny felt good. He could finally get on with his normal life.
It was all worth while when on the news Johnny heard that scientist have mastered time travel thanks to a boy’s discovery of a stick and rock with buttons on them that took people to the future. That is when Johnny knew that it was more than just a little time travel.
