Caution
Caution lays quietly on his bed rather than being outside in the real-world. He will tie himself to the chair in order to not face the hazards beyond. Caution is an introverted soul who is an unadventurer. He is not scared, simply reluctant. He is a rather dull character who lacks natural ability, and has chilling memories from the past. The poor sap has tried to explore, however his struggle weighs him down like an anchor upon a large ship. He is utterly alert when it comes to the question…”want to go out?” His best friends Vigilant and Observant ask him to ponder this question almost every day. Although, his cautious perceptions tell them it’s forbidden.
Caution yearns for the love of his life, Careless, to notice him. Careless strolls along the outdoors, free spirit and all. Caution wonders to himself, when will I be able to let go? Sufficient attention does not play a part in the life of Careless, although Caution’s middle name is Attention. The overload of unbearableness causes his mind to slowly slip away from him, as it departs into an unpretentious reminder of discretion and surrendering.
As just before, Caution puts all behind him, and forgets the many thoughts of trying to be an individual he is not. He goes back to laying quietly on his bed, rather than facing the potential in store for him.

In this piece, I gave "caution" human-like characteristics and feelings, almost as if they were an actual person. It was rather difficult putting myself into the mind of a completely different character than I, yet it was an extremely different and entertaining experience. I absolutely love writing short-stories and poetry, so I hope in reading this, the reader can take away a piece of who I am as a writer and retrieve inspiration for pieces they may want to write in the future.
