If I Could Go Back in Time
Do you wish to go forward or backwards in time?
I would want to go back in time to before the big problems started (Sept.01 2013) in my life. I’d go to my past-self and tell him this: “Stop doing with what you are doing, or you will end up losing those dearest to you. Whatever you are thinking of doing… Don’t okay? It is definitely NOT worth it. I have been caught doing illegal stuff three times so they kicked me off the soccer team and put me in an alternative school. This might be the best thing that has happened yet, you have a great life right now you just don’t see it yet.
“Right now, seeing you still in Germany with all these opportunities you have makes me just wan ‘a burst, knowing that you are going to mess it all up! (You only have to listen to Junior and Mom. Then our life will just be like paradise).
“I’m regretting every day what I did, and I know how bad you miss Dad and how bad you want to see him. You have a phone and Skype, even though you don’t have a lot of patience and want to have everything right now… You can’t, okay? Finish school, get a good diploma, and after that you will get a job and do well. Then when you are 18, you can show him how well you are doing by buying your own dang plane ticket for yourself and your best friend and the girlfriend you will have in two years, which will be way better to do it that way than it happened to me.
“Speaking of girlfriend, don’t waste your time with the current girl you love, she is just making your life miserable. Just wait ‘till you go too dance class. There you will meet the girl we have always dreamed of, and I mean everything about her is just perfect for us. Unfortunately, if you do the stuff you are thinking of doing you will lose her and that’s what will make your life feel hopeless.
“Now I’ll give you my last advice before I go: just listen to your heart, man. Don’t do something that your brain is suggesting… listen to your heart and you’ll have a girl that loves you with all her heart, a friend who is like a brother to you and parents that love you to death and are always there for you. So don’t mess it up!”
After that I would hug myself and go back in the boat and look back one more time to see him looking at me and tell him with an almost crying voice:” You have been given a second chance… take it!”
