The Chances Of Chancy
Word Count: 1630
THE CHANCES OF CHANCY
“Good morning sweetie,” said Rochelle, “rise and shine you need to get ready for school.”
“It’s too early,” groaned Chancy. “Can I have 5 more minutes?”
“No you may not, look out your window, kids are already leaving,” said Rochelle
As he looked out the window, he saw Elise Panning, “Oh never mind, your right,” said Chancy while jumping out of bed happily. “I have to get ready for school quickly or I’ll be late!”
“That’s odd,” said Rochelle to herself looking quite confused.
Chancy walks out the front door, “Goodbye mommy, I’ll see you later!”
“Goodbye sweetheart!” yelled Rochelle.
Elise!” cried Chancy as if there were no tomorrow, “Elii-wooaah!”
“Are you ok Chancy?” asked Elise as Chancy is trying to recover from the fall. He was too busy calling Elise that he didn’t realize a rock the size of his head was in front of him. His foot tripped on it and landed on his hands and face
“Ow, yeah I’m al…” said Chancy wanting to finish his sentence when a bird flew over his head and pooped on his shoulder. He stared at the poop and started to giggle, “Tsss hahahaha!” laughed Chancy.
“What’s so funny about a bird pooping on your shoulder?” asked Elise quite confused.
“I’m sorry, it’s just that I didn’t see it coming and it slapped right on my shoulder,” said Chancy as he stopped laughing.
As he still giggles, Elise looked across the street and seen Özil Neur, “Hi Özil!” yelled Elise happily loud.
“Hey Elise,” said Özil winking at her.
“OMG did you see what he did?” asked Elise excitedly while blushing.
“Yeah, he winked at you, so what?” said Chancy jealously. “I can wink too.”
“Yeah but it’s not the same Chancy,” said Elise, “his winks make you smile and blush.”
“What are you talking about?!” cried Chancy, “there is no difference, it’s still two eyes twitching cutely at you the same way.”
“Calm down Chancy, I was just saying, geez,” said Elise as she was drifting herself out of space.
“Whatever let’s go, we’re going to be late for school,” said Chancy angrily.
As they both got to class and sit down, right away Elise drools over Özil Neur sitting two seats away from her right blindside.
“Hey Elise,” said Chancy. “Elise….Elise!”
“Huh, what, oh what happened Chancy?” asked Elise.
“What’s the answer for number 6?” asked Chancy. “OMG Elise!”
“What stop bothering me!” cried Elise.
“Fine then!” as he stood up and left the classroom. “I can’t believe I liked her!”
As he enters his house and into the living room, he hears a knock, “Chancy! Chancy!” cried Elise.
“What happened now?” asked Chancy.
“I’m sorry for acting that way, I really like you,” said Elise. “Sorry I have to go, goodbye.”
“Whoa, she actually liked me?” asked Chancy to himself.
“Hey sweetie?” asked Rochelle, “you’re home early”
“Yeah, I’m heree,” said Chancy.
“Thank goodness, I need to tell you something,” said Rochelle. “Me and your father are going away for two weeks for a business trip, I am going to lend you some money to take care of yourself including you brothers and sisters.”
“How much money?” asked Chancy.
“I am going to lend you $500 in cash for those two weeks,” said Rochelle.
“FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS!” yelled Chancy as his jaw dropped to the ground. “Why so much mom?”
“Why so much?” Mocked Rochelle, “well I guess you don’t need that much aft.”
“No no no no no I didn’t say that,” said Chancy interrupting his mother.
“Well then don’t be surprised, I’m giving you this money because two weeks can be a while,” said Rochelle. “Now I don’t want you to spend it all on toys or movies or on girls, etc.”
“Of course mom, only for emergencies, I got you,” said Chancy.
“Well then, we are leaving when your dad comes out of the bathroom,” said Rochelle impatiently.
“So technically in an hour?” asked Chancy giggling.
“Yes most likely,” said Rochelle giggling too. “Here’s the money, now remember, emergencies only.”
“Mom I know,” said Chancy wanting to get the money.
“Well, surprisingly your father is out of the bathroom,” said Rochelle with a surprised look on her face. “Well, goodbye sweetie, I love you,” said Rochelle not wanting to let go of Chancy.
“Goodbye mom, love you too, love you too dad,” said Chancy as he transfers from his mom to dad.
“Love you too sport, I want this home clean and in shape by the time we come back, alright?” said Julius his father. “Now remember, you’re the man of the house, take care son.”
“You too dad, and you don’t have to worry about a thing,” said Chancy. “Wait, you guys aren’t going to say bye to Maryann and Chris?”
“No we already did, just before you got back from school,” said Rochelle.
“Ok then, bye mom and dad, hope you guys have a lot of fun on vacation,” said Chancy.
“Goodbye honey, and we will trust me, first time on vacation for us,” said Rochelle.
As Chancy closes the door with a grin on his face knowing he is going to have fun as well, he starts calling everyone he can, including Elise Panning. He tells them all to come over his house for a huge party at night. Afterhe calls everybody for the huge party, he puts out cups, drinks, food, snacks, decorations, napkins, etc.
“Ok I got everything ready,” said Chancy to himself. “Now to relax until they come ring the doorbell.”
“Ding Dong!” ranged the doorbell.
“Alright, my first guess, I wonder who it will be,” said Chancy to himself.
As he opens the door saying hello and welcome to the person, a crowd of people just come running over Chancy and into his house desperately. He was confused and worried because there were a lot of people he didn’t know that showed up uninvited.
“Hey what the heck, get out of my house if you were not invited by me! NOW!” cried Chancy as loud as he can.
No one listened to him because they were all too busy having a blast, eating and laughing, etc. Then someone came up to him and said, “Dude chill, let everyone have fun.”
“Shut up, I don’t even know you,” said Chancy, “and if you didn’t hear me, I said get out if you were not invited by me.”
“Whoa dude, you need to relax,” said Xavier as he was leaving. There were people throwing soda bottle across the room, dumping Cheetos on the ground as they were dancing. A group of people were lifting his couch bed out on the yard to have it break their fall when they jumped off the roof. People inside were putting mayonnaise inside the bed and then dumping the rest out on the ground. One guy named Alex threw it on the ceiling and it got stuck up there. Chancy was so angry he regretted throwing the party. Another group of guys and girls were bringing the party up on the roof.
Then after about 5 hours, everyone started to leave Chancy’s home and carried on with their own lives. Chancy was worried he wouldn’t be able to clean everything in time before his parents showed even though it was in two weeks. His whole house was trashed, rooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom, ceiling, walls, attic, basement, and the roof.
“Man oh man I am going to be in huge trouble if I don’t get this clean in time,” said Chancy to himself. “Alright, let’s get this done.”
Two weeks have passed by and his parents are arriving home in an hour, Chancy finished the house a day ago, his brother and sister were at their friend’s house throughout the two weeks and return in 30 minutes. Chancy is in the living room waiting patiently for everyone to return home while he wonders around the house checking if there was any more trash left to clean.
“Honey we are home!” said Rochelle running to Chancy.
“Hey mom hey dad!” said Chancy as he runs to them as well. “I missed you guys so much!”
“Us too sweetie, we almost died without you.” said Rochelle, “we have more news; your father and I were thinking that we should move to a different state and start new lives instead of living in this old boring place.”
“What, no,” said Chancy.
“What, why not?” asked Rochelle. “It will be fun living in a new state and learning new things.”
“I don’t know I just don’t want to, I was born and raised here I want to die here,” said Chancy.
“Well we gave you a decision to make, we move and you can get your present, the magic eight ball, or we stay and you don’t get it or any Christmas presents,” said Rochelle. “You decide.”
“Why can’t we stay and I get the magic eight ball only and no other presents? Only the eight ball,” asked Chancy as he thought about Elise Panning in his head. Almost wanting to cry about it.
“We just can’t do that, I’m sorry sweetie,” said Rochelle. “We will give you by the end of this week to make your decision about moving to the other state or not moving there.
Chancy did not know what to decide. If he left and got the eight ball, and the eight ball said he and Elise will have a chance together, that will never happen because they are in different states. Although if he stayed, he will never know. Chancy was so confused and did not know what to decide.
