Have you ever felt unnoticed? Have you ever been ignored? Have you ever ignored anyone? Have you ever seen anyone that feels left out? Have you ever wondered how it would feel like to be like that?
Yeah, well this is the story of Heidi Tanner and her invisible middle school year.
It was a cold December day as I walked to school I could feel when warmness was lifting towards my cheeks. As always me and my clumsy self fell over a rock but as always I looked up for help and as usual no one is there so I just stand up head back to class. I am an A+ student, but no one ever notices. When I got to school I was already five minutes late, no one noticed.
As time went by, I just did not acknowledge the people ignoring me and stopped caring if they saw me or not. I mean why should I care, it’s not as if they do. I am here for a great future anyways why should I care. One day, I will show them who I can and will become. So what if I’m not notice they will someday and when they do it will be too late I will only help those who show their loyalty to me.
Right now I’m a shadow, not seen by anyone near or far. That is what I am to everyone unknown to me but deep inside I would really like to have someone. Someone to share secrets with, to have fun and to be just friend that would be all I ask for. To my luck no one just notices people for their quietness; they notice the people that stand out.
So that cold December day I decided I have had enough of being ignored people would recognize the invisible and be friendly to be recognized, and helped with their problems. I, Heidi Tanner, had enough of watching that happen to me and many other people. So as soon as that thought passed my mind adrenaline rushed through me making me run out of class to stand up for all of us. I went to the intercom and said,” We, the invisible or outsiders, will be valued for our features are amazing and have the power of intelligence with us.”With that said I went back to class all eyes on me, I felt the power of my words made history to this school.
