I never knew what happiness really was until I met her, the light of my world, the woman who would soon be my wife. Her name was Sasha King and I saw her as the most beautiful woman on this planet. I thought I had all I ever needed but that was until she gave me something even more amazing, my two loving kids named Grant and Veronica. Who am I? Well my name is Ezekiel Grey and I am pretty much your average guy, I have a great job as an engineer and life couldn’t better for me, or so I thought. You see, I have my own share of dark secrets a past that I had tried to leave behind a long time ago, but sometimes no matter how careful you are the past always seems to come back to haunt you.
    It all happened in one day, in just a fraction a second everything changed. I was at work enjoying the job I had been doing for over ten years now when I got a strange call, “ Hello,” I answered. The voice on the other end said, “ Hello Ezekiel, you thought that you could just leave and disappear? No, we’ve found you and if you don’t come back to us then well let’s just say things won’t end well for your loved ones. You have one day to give us your response or people will die.” Then the call abruptly ended. Who was that? I thought. And how did they know me? These questions had no answer but all I knew at that moment was that I needed to get to my family quick. I called my wife right away and told her that we needed to get out of the city as soon as possible. She thought I was acting crazy but I just couldn’t explain my dark past to her, I just couldn’t do it. After a bit of arguing she finally agreed to go down to her mother’s house with the kids. I promised her that once this was all over I would tell her everything.
    It had been a week since I had sent my wife away and the pain of being away from her ate me up inside, but what other choice did I have? The mysterious man never seemed to call me again, but something told me that it still wasn’t safe and that’s when the phone rang. “ Ah Ezekiel, we gave you so much time to think about our proposal. I was being so generous, but no more. Now tell me what is your decision? The mysterious man said. “ I don’t know who you are or what you want, but you better stay away from my family or you’re going to wish you were dead,” I said in return. “ Now Ezekiel that isn’t how you treat someone that saved your life when you were just tiny weak child, well you always were stubborn. Oh well if that’s how it is, then I wouldn’t want to be your family right now. You know you have a very beautiful wife and those kids are adorable. Too bad they won’t live long enough to see tomorrow. Goodbye Ezekiel.” After the call ended I had finally realized exactly what was happening, my past had come back and it was going to consume me one way or another. The man on the phone was my own mentor Chuck Wells, he saved me when my parents were killed but all that came with a price and I did unspeakable things to people I never even knew. Now he was back and my family was in danger, I needed to stop him, but I was too late.
    I drove as fast as I could to where my family was, I made it to the house and I instantly saw the terrible onslaught that had occurred.  I rushed into the home and there she was, my wife, the woman I had vowed to protect.  “Sasha! Oh my god! No, no, no.  Please come on wake up sweetie, I’m here. Don’t leave me please.” As I sat there on the cold floor with my wife’s body in my arms I couldn’t believe that this had happened. Why? What did I do wrong? No matter how I thought about it, I only had myself to blame. Then Chuck called once more, “ Well Ezekiel, did you like my gift? I’m sure you know by now that I am a very kind man so I’m willing to give you a second chance and this time you better say what I want to hear or your kids are really going to die this time,” he said.  “ Chuck I swear to you, if you even dare touch my kids I will kill you.  So just you wait because I am coming for you.” This wasn’t going to go unpunished; that man took the most amazing person I had ever known, but he’s not going to take my children. I will go to the ends of the earth to find him and end his life once in for all. He and anyone who works for him will die. Sasha I swear I will avenge you and I will protect our kids.
