In the Darkness...
My eyes snapped open, only to be greeted by a black and grey fog. My entire body felt numb, I could not move an inch. The bitter cold of the air pierced my skin and chilled me to the bone.
I drifted along in the cold and lifeless haze, similar to that of a ragdoll going down a stream. Thoughts began to flow and take form within my mind.
“Why am I here?” I thought, “Am I dead? Or am I still alive?” I began to worry, what if I actually had passed away? I tried to recall what happened before I ended up here. Nothing came to mind.
No memories, no emotions, nothing. It was as if my memories had been wiped clean. Like my mind had become a blank slate. That’s when I noticed a small light appear within the fog. A woman materialized from within.
She had red billowing hair, and bright blue eyes to contrast. When I saw her, it all of the sudden brought a tear to my eye.
“Why was I crying?” I thought as I wiped the tears from my eyes. I heard the sound of a car horn, a light quickly approaching, and then the woman turning towards it and cowering in fear and shock. Then, she disappeared. My eyes snapped open once again, as I jolted out of bed, and I remembered everything.
I couldn’t stop the tears from coming.

What inspired me to write this was litterally the idea popping into my head one day and writting it down.
