Do You Feel a Breeze?
It was Saturday night and Jessica was on her way to work. It was just a normal day for her. She really did not want to go to work she had just closed the night before and she has to close again that night. Jessica was really hoping she would get sent home early because she had a headache and did not feel good. It was also a beautiful day out and she was not looking forward to spending it indoors. On the way to work Jessica realized that it was going to be really busy because of the weather. Jessica got in her car and put all the windows down and opened the sunroof. Well at least she can enjoy the weather on the way to work.
When Jessica got there she was surprised that she actually found a parking spot considering it is a Saturday night. When she went inside she was even more surprised to find that it was slow and that there was like no one in there. So she went into the back to get her apron and see where the manager Josh wanted her be that night. She was up front like always but she was okay with that because she knew she got to work with her good friend Sam.
Couple hours later Jessica had to go to the bathroom so she figured she might as well go while it was slow. So she went and she realized there was a little hole in the upper thigh of her work pants. She knew something like that was going to happen she just had that feeling. That was her only pair of work pants since the other pair ripped. So she hurried up and went to go look in the mirror to see if you could see the hole.
“Ugh can’t believe this happened! Well at least you can’t see it. As long as I don’t bend down or stretch out too much then the hole shouldn’t get any bigger.”
“Hey Jessica you okay?”, spoke Sam
“Oh um ya I just have a headache.”
“Alright well if you need anything or something just let me know.”
“Okay I will.”
Later that night Jessica had to bend down and pick up a box of sauce and all of a sudden she hears a tear. She panicked and looked down her pants had ripped even more now she was thinking what she was going to do.
“Sam where is Josh I need to talk to him.”
“Um I think he is in the office or drive.”
“Okay thank you.”
So she went to look for josh to tell him about the pants. Jessica tried to cover the hole up but apparently you couldn’t see it but still. She could feel a breeze through the hole and it was very uncomfortable. Jessica looked and looked for Josh and she still could not find him. Eventually after like a half hour she found him.
“Hey Josh um there was a bit of a an accident.”
“Oh great what happened?”
“My pants ripped.”
“What? How in the world did you manage to do that?”
“ I don’t know I just did and the hole is getting bigger by the minute I need to go home.”
“I can’t just send you home, I need you here in case we get busy and you're doing a really good job.”
“Thanks, and fine but if the hole gets bigger and stuff starts showing it’s not my fault.”
“Okay go do novelty.”
“Fine.”
So Jessica went and did novelty then she ran out some food and ice cream. She tried to put on a happy face but deep in her mind she knew about the hole in her pants and she swore it was getting bigger by the minute. Jessica was scheduled to get off at nine that night and she had only like an hour left. Then all of a sudden Josh came up to her and asked her if she wanted to go home since it wasn’t getting any busier. She said yes and was out in a flash after she clocked out. Jessica was just so happy to be going home. She knew that she was going to have to go out and buy new pants because that was the only pair she owned but, no it gives her an excuse to get a new pair.
