Snowball, My Cat Friend
Snowball, My Cat Friend.
“Hey mom, come outside, I need to show you something!” I yelled on the porch.
“I’ll be right out!"
As she put on her flip-flops, I ran down to the edge of the garage and pointed where it was at. There was a white clump of fur laying in the weeds. Then she stepped in the weeds to get closer it looked up and it was a cat, about one year old.
I said to my mom “I was shooting foul shots when my ball hit the rim and went into the weeds. Then I saw the cat.”
“Hey Charity!” I yelled, “ Come look we have a kittie now!”
“WOW, A CAT,CAN I PET IT!?” My sister exclaimed
“No, no, no and no,” mom explained “We don’t know if it is infected with something.”
The next day Ed ,my step dad, went fishing and brought home thirty one crappy. After my mom gutted all of them, she gave the scraps to the cat and I thought, what does the cat think about us and our white-sidinged house with black-bricked basement. That night, I found a diaper box and I cut out a door for the cat. Also, I put Ed’s camo vest in for warmth. On Friday, we end up buying a food dish, a jingle ball toy and a bag of cat food. After the trip to the store, we went to get Mcdonald’s and I got a Quarter-pounder meal with coca-cola and medium fries.
Later on in bed, I thought, tomorrow I will see my original dad and my brother and have lots of fun. In the morning, we went to the movie theater and saw the movie Tangled, it was great! Next, we went home and played football, frisbee and soccer. Then it was six o’clock.
“Time to go” my dad said in sorrow
“AWWWWWE!” I yelled
When I got home, I went into my room and got my book to read. After a while, I went out and feed the cat, I put the tray on the top of the box. That night, I heard screeching and screaming. At first I scared, but then it stopped and I went back to sleep.
In the morning, we all had pancakes and I asked my mom, “What was that screaming last night?”
She replied “That was the cats fighting.”
“Cats, what cats?” I questioned
“The neighbor’s cat and our’s.”
“Ohhh.”
Later on, while taking the clothes to the basement, I took a cup of food to the cat and put the tray in the box this time, so the cats wouldn’t fight over it. Then, UPS came and dropped a package of at our house. So, I took the package inside and then Ed opened it and it was the laptop we ordered.
Every day since we got the laptop, everything was the exact same thing over, and over and over again. We woke up, ate cereal,do work, eat dinner, feed the pets, do work and go to bed! Time flew by so fast, it felt like two days then we were in school again. This school year I started middle school, sixth grade. I passed sixth grade and in the summer my sisters, Charity and Jaiden, and I played with the cat. We never “officially” named the cat but Charity called it snowball, the rest of us called it “Kittie”. The first month of back-to-school was fine until, one night were a coyote was fighting our cat and the last thing my mom heard was “RRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHH” the cat screamed and that was the last thing mom heard from the cat. Today, we still have a half of a bag of cat food and the dish and we all miss Snowball.
THE END!!
