Escape
I always seem to be running in place, never really going anywhere, but never going backwards into the past, either.
Looking outside the window there's a blur of green-brown forestry; it seems to stretch on endlessly, and even though the trees seem to shadow everything truly visible, it seems to be curiously watching. Calling out, to see who would hear that little whisper that carries on the wind. Even though I've been down the same, cracked and old highway dozens-no, millions of times, it still feels like there's hidden magic out there, buried beneath all of that concrete the four rubber tires hit practically once every day or so.
Music of all genres and volumes blast through long worn out headphones as the long curve that leads into town reunites with the front windsheild like an old friend.
"Hello!" It seems to say almost childishly. "Long time no see, eh?"
Its greetings come with no words; just the comfort of its presence is enough, though.
Have you ever longed to just...be outside in fields of wheat, grain, or even someone's yard? Just to feel the way everything is, to wash out the curiousity of how the beauty of the scenery usually outside a thin pane of glass truly is like? Have you ever wanted to stop the car and run off into the forest, just to get away from all of your problems, even if only for a little while?
Of course, most people don't. I wish we could, and no one would question us, but humane society is different now. Anything strange is locked up, or put down. Mainly the latter. Because someone's different. Because someone is ridiculed for how they talk, walk, eat, even live their daily lives.
Strange, how easily we don't notice this.
I'm not saying that we're stupid; we've obviously proved we're not. I'm just bored in class and decided to randomly type whatever comes to mind.
I wanted to escape from everyone else, to put it simply. Thankfully, we can daydream easily.
So, I'll go daydream now.
Bye.
