Shout to the world essay

Alana, Katie, and soroya where sitting at their usual table during lunch; and Alana was doodling on a piece of scratch paper. Soroya and Katie watched as she drew a... Sad picture. Alana was too busy drawing to notice the two girls staring at her and kept drawing. Katie caught Alana’s attention by clearing her throat and tapping her shoulder. Alana looked up at her confused, “what?” Alana asked a bit confused not realizing that soroya was staring at her drawing. “You’re drawing…why is it so….sad..?” Soroya asked not taking her eyes off of the drawing; Alana turned her attention to soroya and sat up straight in her chair. “Well….you see, artists usually express their true feelings into a drawing, instead of talking about it.” Alana started “It’s a way that people can express their feelings while not having the embarrassment of trying to explain them to a person. Cause we all know that can be difficult at times.” She finished. Katie and Soroya nodded, “so some artists use drawing to express their feelings?” Katie asked, Alana nodded and smiled “yes, well not ‘some’, Most of them do. It’s a common thing that almost all artists can relate to.” Katie and Soroya looked at each other and smiled, Alana looked at the two girls confused. “Why are you two smiling at each h other?” Alana asked, they both giggled and looked at Alana with sweet smiles and said in unison “Oh, Nothing~!” Alana rolled her eyes and let out a small laugh. “Whatever you two say I guess.” Soroya and Katie nodded in agreement. The Next day Katie and Soroya where walking with Alana to class, when they got to the class they sat in their usual seats in the back of the room. Katie sat on the left, Alana sat in the middle, and Soroya sat on the right. During class, Soroya and Katie noticed Alana wasn’t drawing like usual, she had a stack of blank lilne paper in front of her, but … the papers where blank, Usually Alana would have already be drawing. Soroya tapped Alana’s shoulder gaining her attention as she turned her gaze to Soroya. “What?” Alana asked in a plain dull voice. “um…Why aren’t you drawing like usual Alana?” Soroya asked a bit worried. Alana looked down “I have artist block…” she answered, Katie looked totally confused “what’s that?” she asked. Alana looked over at her “its where I have no motivation to draw…or im at a loss for ideas…” Alana answered and soroya nodded “so how do you get your motivation back?” she asked, Alana shrugged and looked down at her paper holding a pencil In her hand “It comes and goes as it pleases I guess….i usually get it back after a few days or if I listen to certain songs.” Alana said. Katie nodded and smiled “so songs can give you motivation to draw again?” she asked brightly. Alana nodded “yes. It can, in fact a lot of artist use music to motivate them. It’s a really simple, quick and easy way to motivate you. “Alana replied. Soroya put her head on her desk and sighed “so not all artist can get motivated by music then?” she asked, Alana nodded “yes, different people mean, they all have different ways to motivate themselves. Not all with have the same way.” Alana answered. Katie and Soroya nodded, “okay~! Guess we have to get you motivated so you can be yourself again~!!” Katie exclaimed earning a few questionable looks from the other students that where by them. Soroya laughed nervously and looked at Katie “N-not so loud Katie, your making people stare at us…” Soroya explained, Katie looked around to see all the attention she had earned and froze “U-um….o-ops? Sorry…” Katie said nervously as all the students went back to doing whatever they were up too. Alana lightly giggle and looked at them and patted Katie’s head “wow, nice going there slick,.” She teased, Katie made a pouty face “it’s not my fault they all decided to stare…” Katie huffed. Soroya and Alana laughed at her. “whatever you say Katie~!” Alan and soroya said in unison.
