“who are you playing deante” I ask
“We play Manhattan”
“Our rival?! I’m coming to watch”
“Do you even know where it is?”
“Well no. I was going to ask though. So where is it?”
“It’s at the high school off of Eisenhower Street”
“okay who’s all on your team?”
“Jayden, Tristan, Tyson, Christian well pretty much a fourth of the boys on the football team.”
“Oh. I’m going to wear the shoes that we both have.”
“Me to. I figured since it’s our last game why not.”
“Well when you’re done with your game do you want to get pizza and play the game with me?”
“I was going to go with my mom because she’s making diner for once”
“Come on man! Just this one time!”
‘I’ll think about it.”
“When was the last time we’ve hung out?!”
“Yeah you’re right. We haven’t because all this basketball”
“Exactly! We have to because after this, is spring break and you know that I’m leaving
“I forgot to ask you about that. Were you were going.”
“I’m not sure. My mom won’t tell me. She saying ill finds out when I get there.”
“Well you better hope it’s nowhere boring like last year”
“why do you thing I keep asking her? Because if it’s lame again I’m not going!”

“Then where are you going to go?!”
“My grandparents you know how they always let me do whatever.”
“Man I wish I had grandparents like yours.”
“Okay sometimes they let me.”
“Every time I go over there they let you. Well us”
“maybe that’s because they like you.”
“And how would you know?”
“When you leave they always talk about how good you are.”
“Oh”
“yeah the always tell me I should be more like you too”
“well that’s good! Hey I have to go my mom says to be home in 10 to get ready to play. See you at the game”
“yeah I should probably go eat before I go. See you there.”
“So. What are we doing tonight?”
“were hanging out at the mall.”
“Alright let me ask my mom. She’s acting iffy”
“One step ahead of you! I already asked.”
“You always talk to my mom”
“I know she likes me”
“no she doesn’t “
“yes. I might as well call her my aunt”
“true you’ve been around our family for a few years now.”
“You mean us. We’ve been around each other’s family”
“Yeah.”
“So where are we going to go?”
“Do you want to go to Marco’s pizza?”
“Yeah I love that place.”
“Alright let’s go”
