Alphabiography-A
August- On August 9th, 2000 around 4:00am, I was entered into the world. My parents, Sean and Kate McCracken, gave me my name, Caitlin Alise McCracken. I love August, because it’s my birthday and it’s during the warm summer days. Everyone says they love my last name; McCracken. I say thanks and tell them that it’s Irish/Scottish. The funny thing is, is that I looked like my mom when I was younger but now I look like my dad’s sister, Kris. Kris and I both have dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and GIANT feet. Sometimes my grandparents have mistaken me for Kris and Shannon, my other McCracken aunt. I am like my aunt Shannon because we both love to do art projects and other artsy things. On my birthday, last year (2011), she took me to my grandparents’ house to have a Shannon and Caitlin crafting day. A couple years ago, when I moved to Freedom, New Hampshire, I had a get-together with a bunch of my Freedom friends, at the Freedom Public Beach. We had cupcakes that looked like a beach with little flip-flop rings. I love the month of August!

Life Lesson: Learn about, the background information of your birthday, past, and family history.

4. Don’t think you’re perfect? Who cares, because no one is perfect!
5. Don’t be loved for who you’re not, be hated for who you are.

Life Lesson- Be yourself and don’t be loved for who you’re not.

Cat(Thunda)- Around March-September, I adopted my kitten Thunda. She was adopted, her three other sisters, and mother, they were all adopted on the same afternoon. Thunda’s had a different name when we got her, it was: Mrs. Potts. We found out that she was named Mrs. Potts because the vets loved Mrs. Potts, from Beauty and the Beast. Thunda was the smallest cat that I saw in the whole adoption. When, we brought Thunda home, we didn’t have any kitten supplies, so we called my mom and asked her to pick up a litter box, cat food, liter, and a food bowl. When we let Samson, my dog, up from the basement, Thunda got really scared, so we gently let her sniff around. I love petting, loving, and caring for Thunda. My family and I treat her like family, as well as Samson, my dog.
Life Lesson- Don’t treat your pets like dolls, or toys, treat them as you treat your family.

Dad:
My dad is a wonderful person
He protects me no matter what
He may be a little strict but it is only for my protection
My dad served in the Air Force for 20 years
That shows how much he cares about his country
He now works at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard
He loves coming home to my mom, my brother, and I
Even though it may be really late
Life Lesson: Thank those who have been with you, care for you, and their country.

Rough Draft

Family: I am all about my family. If anyone and I mean ANYONE, hurts my little brother I will stand ground. I don’t want anyone to get hurt, but if the hurt my family they should leave them alone. My younger brother, Evan McCracken, is only 8 years old, so I don’t want anything to happen to him. My mom, Kate McCracken, and dad, Sean McCracken, are both the ones who help me threw the tough times, so I will help them, too. I also, take care of my pets, Samson, my chocolate lab, and Thunda, my black cat. I treat my pets as family, they are the ones who LOVE attention. My family matters so much to me. I love opening Christmas gifts all together, right next to the Christmas tree. My family and I like watching movies and snuggling under the blanket together. We like having other family members over to so the love and care that we have for each other.

Life Lesson: Help those family members that helped you in the past.

G is for Giggles:
When I am with my friends, all you hear are giggles. We will giggle about everything and then nothing. It is always, and I mean ALWAYS, laughs and giggles around my friends (Anna, Bria, Gaby, Hannah B, Maddie, Tori, Stephie, and others…too many to list.) During classes some of the teachers just look at us because we are always talking or laughing to death (not really…hopefully.)

Life Lesson: let the memories be made, with the ones you love and care about
?
H is for Home:
Home by Amanda and Caitlin
Take me home
Where the water surrounds me
Home is where I need to be
And where the cool ocean breeze meets my bare skin
Where the woods and the water meet and greet
I’m going to the place where love
Well, I’m going home, back to the place where I belong
And where your love has always been enough for me
Home is where I feel safe

Chorus: (2x)
Home, home, Bring me home
So I’m going home, back to the place where I belong
and where your love has always been enough for me
I’m not running from the past
These places and these faces are getting old
The miles are getting longer, it seems, the closer I get to you
I’ve not always been the best friend for you
You always seem to give me another try
Home, home bring me home

I am home
Home sweet home
The water is surrounding me
Home is where I am
The cool ocean breeze has met my bare skin
Where the woods and the water meet and greet me
The place where I am loved
Well, I’m going home, back to the place where I belong
And where your love has always been enough for me
Home is where I feel safe

Life Lesson: Remember the good things that are from your home.

Lazy- I have always been a lazy person. I do not like to do chores, work, exercise, and anything that includes me working out. It just so happens, that my parents both call me lazy, and sometimes my little brother does. I feel cozy when I am in pj’s, wandering around my house with nothing to do. Most of the time I like to just lay down or sit on my couch/bed, and listen to music and text my friends. Have you ever just wanted to not get dressed all fancy and just chill around your house. Well, that is how I feel, but daily. I have wondered what life would be like with no work, exercise, and chores. Hopefully, it would be my heaven; nothing to worry about, calm days, no arguments, no fighting, nothing to get you mad. I can just picture everyone being lazy, not having dreams crushed, and everything being optional. Lazy, is one of the words I would use to describe myself. I also love caring for younger kids, treating people the way I want to be treated, and etc.
Life Lesson- Don’ change to impress others.

O is for Okay:
When you ask someone a question like: “How are you?” and they reply with “okay” then they are not happy. I know that when I say okay, I just say it because I have no clue of what else to say. I will ask people how are you and stuff like that and I normally get an answer of okay or fine, but I know that they aren’t okay or just fine. Most of the time they are sad/mad/depressed.

Life Lesson: Don’t let people always fool you

P is for Poetry:
To me poetry is anything and everything at the same time. Most of all I think poetry is imagination. To others it could be life, beauty, art/artwork, love, or some way of letting out feeling(s). Poetry doesn’t have one main definition, for all I know it could have a million, billion, trillion, or zillion. Poetry doesn’t have to be long or short, it could be a paragraph, or story, or a kid book, or a whole book. But to keep the reader’s attention you should have an AH HA! Moment. Poetry doesn’t have any requirements, so you can write about anything and however long you want it to be (or short).

S is for Songs/Singing (Music):

The sound & the lyrics run through my body
As I dance like a fool
And sing as if I was the artist/singer
But I’m not
I am the crazy girl that is obsessed over music
I mean OBSESSED!
Music is my passion
I live for the sake of music
Music is what controls me
Like I am a puppet on stage, music is my strings

T is for Totally Fun: When I go to town fairs or carnivals, I never leave without fried dough. I love going to fairs and riding on carnival rides with my little brother, Evan. Evan and I would bug my parents to buy us tickets so we could go onto the rides. We also bothered my parents for money to play the fair games. I would always play darts and I would get big/medium size stuff animal. Evan would play the squirt gun games; he would win little things until my dad felt bad and won him a giant teddy bear.

I loved going to Bush Gardens in Virginia, Fun-spot in Laconia, New Hampshire, and many other places. At Bush Gardens I rode my first roller-coaster; it was called the Big Bad Wolf. My mom and I went on the Big Bad Wolf together, and enjoyed the ride. The Big Bad Wolf was destroyed and was remade as a little kid theme park. ?
Life Lesson- Enjoy the memories made with the ones you love (or care for.)

Alphabio U: Using your Senses

The moonlight glistens in my eyes

As I gaze at the starry night

The sun shines upon my skin

As I stare at Lake Winnipesaukee

Someone walks by me, at the beach

Their mango smoothie’s aroma was a tropical waterfall in my nose

Then I traveled to a farm

Where a cute white sheep walks up to me

When I lay my hand on its fur,

It feels like a fluffy white cloud smiling down at me

When I came home……

I enjoyed the creamy chocolate sauce on my triple scoop sundae

The sauce ran down my throat like sweet words

After I finished my sundae

I started to listen to music

The country music played through my head, like water flowing through the Mississippi

Virginia-I was born and raised in the state of Virginia, from 2000-2009. I love Virginia! No cold or snow, just beaches and the sun. Oh man I miss that! Family and friend trips to the beach. Living next the Lacombe’s, the best neighbors I have ever had! Going and adopting Samson, my chocolate lab dog. Man, I miss those times! Wearing tank tops and shorts, daily, with no cold on the way. Many different opportunities to get a tan, each and every day. What a life I had in Virginia.

X is for Xtra Funniness:

This is basically my life during the week

such a cute cat
I share most of my fun times with my friends and family. Maddie and I love to joke around and make each other have laughing attacks AAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the time. Bria, Maddie, Anna, Gaby, Hannah, Shannon and I share many great, fun-filled, awesome, amazing, unique times together. We normally laugh the most during homeroom, lunch and break time. Maddie and Shannon say that they laugh like seals, I honestly don’t know. It doesn’t matter to me, all that matters is that we share those times together, like a weird (a good weird) and crazy family.

Life Lesson: Share those wonderful, crazy, weird, unique, awesome, silly, fun times with the ones you care about.
