The Cay
The Cay is a good book to read. The Cay is adventurous, heart racing, and sad in some ways. This is the only book that’s been made in its series that I know of. The book draws you in and makes you want to read more of it. The Cay also is a little bit about war too.
The Cay begins on a big island close to Mexico. The family lives in a medium sized green house. The mom wants to leave because of the submarines that surround the island and destroy all the cargo that comes in. After the mom and dad get into an argument. The dad agrees to let the mom and boy go on a boat to Norfolk, Virginia.
After they leave on a boat it gets shot by a submarine. The boy gets stranded with a black man with a name Timothy. After a long time in the sea they get on a small group of islands. They will never know if they get saved.
I recommend you to read this book. It’s really good and there are lots of good parts in it.
